Directions: As a food supplement, children aged 3-6 years should take 5 mL (one teaspoon) once daily. For children aged 7–12 years, give 10 ml (2 teaspoons) once daily. For winter use or extra support, give children aged 3-6 years 5 ml (one teaspoon) twice daily, and children aged 7–12 years 10 ml (2 teaspoons) twice daily.

How does Sambucol work?
Sambucol Black Elderberries provide a natural mode of action that works via 3 simultaneous ways. The key active ingredients in Sambucol are natural Black Elderberries, Vitamin C and Zinc. Studies have shown that Black Elderberries are unusually rich in the phytochemicals known as flavonoids and among all fruits, elderberries are one of the most concentrated sources of anthocyanins, a class of flavonoids that act as powerful antioxidants to maintain the immune system and protect the body’s cells from harm (and they are responsible for the purple pigmentation of Black Elderberries!). What is Black Elderberry?
Elderberry refers to several varieties of the Sambucus tree, which has clusters of white flowers and black or blue-black berries that are packed with phytonutrients. The most common variety is Sambucus nigra, also known as European elderberry or Black Elderberry. Details of the uses of Elderberry have been recorded since ancient times, as far back as the writings from the Greek Physician Hippocrates (460-370 BC), known as ‘The father of Medicine’, who even referred to elderberry as “nature’s medicine chest.” The berries have long been used for making preserves, wines, winter cordials and for adding flavour and colour to other wines.
