January Newsletter

Janurary spelled with fruit and vegetables

Hello 2019, hello January and hello and welcome to the first newsletter of the year where we have several new launches to talk about. These include products from Garden of Wisdom (of course), Ameliorate and the Vitality Revealed range from Nannette de Gaspé. And then there are the new brands, The Truthbrush (anything with the word ‘truth’ in it is good with me) and Lebon Toothpaste.

Before we begin, I need to tell you that in many ways this is a continuation of the December newsletter (the VH Awards). Throughout I will be referring back to some of those awards as we stand together and share together. Further in the newsletter I will be writing about a ‘Token of Appreciation’ (TOA), but before we get there, there are a few TOA’s scattered around and it gives me the greatest pleasure to share these with you as we continue to keep it real.

Keeping it real is fundamental in all that we are and all that we do together. Together with Shabir, I absolutely pledge to keep it real throughout 2019. It will become evident what we are doing and why we are doing it over time. Let’s go:

Garden of Wisdom: Skincare Solution Kits

We needed to do this. And so we have. Or rather Shabir has. He has curated three hard-working kits to help ease some of the most common skincare concerns. Each kit comes with a helpful morning and evening guide to ensure that you get the best results possible.

So with a great big tra-la-la, I will reveal the products in each kit and because they are being sold together, the prices are lower than if you were to buy each of the three products, in each of the three kits, separately. Here they are:

For Acne

Three formulations. Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Niacinamide Serum and Salicylic Serum. When it comes to helping to soothe acne breakouts, we believe it is important to hydrate and strengthen your skin rather than attack it with harsh, drying ingredients.  HA because dehydration leads to inflammation, which in turn causes excess oil production; Niacinamide helps regulate oil production and Salicylic Acid exfoliates, whilst deep cleaning pores.

With full guidance details contained in the kit, we would also recommend that you take the supplement Clear Skin Complex. The inside/out, health/beauty crossover dominating once again. Because it matters and because it makes a difference. If you can.
For Acne by Garden of Wisdom for VH £24; Clear Skin Complex £22.95 for 60 Capsules (Buying Clear Skin Complex makes you eligible for a free treat, which I’ll write about later in the newsletter. Why is my life so complex!)

For Hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is caused by melanin clumping together, resulting in sporadic darker patches of skin. It can be caused by hormone changes or sun damage. We are using three formulations to help prevent and improve uneven pigmentation. They are Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Alpha Arbutin 2% & Kojic Acid 1% Serum and of course Vitamin C 23% Serum & Ferulic Acid.

Once again, there are full guidance details in the kit and if we were recommending a supplement to take alongside this, it would be Liposomal Vitamin C. Shabir loves this product. Loves!
For Hyperpigmentation by Garden of Wisdom for VH £28; Liposomal Vitamin C £20 for 160 ml; VH Editorial: A Better Form of Vitamin C

For Hydration

Well I think we all could have guessed that Shabir would put Anti-Aging MultiPeptide Serum in this kit. He calls it the ultimate kit to help rehydrate and revive your skin and, as I wrote on the December newsletter, Anti-Aging MultiPeptide Serum is Shabir’s favourite (if we are allowed favourites) GoW formulation.

Dry, dehydrated skin can often look dull and lacklustre and feel tight, itchy and sensitive. These three formulations, Anti-Aging MultiPeptide Serum, PHA Plus Serum and 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil, can help to rehydrate and revive your skin in a matter of days according to Shabir, so it looks firmer and brighter.

As a point of interest, PHA Plus Serum is Victoria’s favourite GoW formulation (agree, it’s special) and although it may seem counter-productive to use an exfoliating acid to hydrate your skin, PHA’s are incredibly gentle and actually help your skin to retain moisture. That’s why we love it. And the supplement. HA. Of course.
For Hydration by Garden of Wisdom for VH £39; Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength £35 for 30 Vegecaps

Vitamin C Serum 23% + Ferulic Acid

Notwithstanding the fact that Vitamin C Serum 23% + Ferulic Acid won the Bestselling Beauty Product of the Year on the December newsletter, I knew that if I did anything on it we were in danger of our site collapsing. We were in enough trouble as it was, which I will explain later, but for now, please don’t feel left out you incredible, result-driven, much-loved-beautiful formulation.

For two days only, because I know what will happen if I do it for any longer, we share the success with you and by way of thanking you, Vitamin C Serum 23% becomes £7 (normal price £10) until midnight tomorrow, Wednesday 9 January 2019. Please don’t let there be a Vit C famine after 2.5 hours. Thank you.
Vitamin C Serum 23% + Ferulic Acid £7 (saving £3 until midnight tomorrow) ** This promotion has now ended **

New: Granactive Retinoid 5% Serum

Vitamin A has become the gold-standard ingredient for rejuvenating skin. However, some people can find it irritating. While both retinol and retinoids are vitamin A derivatives, they need to be converted into retinoic acid to help cell renewal. This process is caused ‘retinization’.

Containing 5% of Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, Granactive Retinoid is a technology from Grant Industries providing an ester of all-trans retinoic acid. Due to its molecular structure, these next-generation retinoids can be less irritating than retinol and this new formulation goes one step further to help minimise potential irritation by including Hyaluronic Acid to help keep skin hydrated and soothed.

In Shabir’s words: ‘Retinoids are the most studied anti-ageing compounds to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. As above, traditional retinoids have always been associated with inflammation and dryness, but Granactive Retinoid is a bioavailable, non-prescription, next-generation retinoid with a delivery system which protects skin against multiple signs of ageing with little or no irritation’.

As a note of caution, retinoids can make your skin more sensitive to UV radiation and we would advise using a sunscreen if you are using it during the day, we actually prefer overnight usage. As ever with all GoW formulations, Granactive Retinoid 5% Serum is suitable for vegetarians and free from alcohol and silicones. And it works. Rather well in fact.
Granactive Retinoid 5% Serum by Garden of Wisdom for VH £14 for 30 ml

Ameliorate Intensive Lip Treatment

There was so much excitement after Ameliorate won The Brand of the Year Award on the December newsletter and deservedly so is what I think. Nothing short of heroic, these products consistently perform in so many different ways on compromised skin conditions, not least on Keratosis Pilaris (chicken skin), the raison d’être for its very existence. Over the years I have called each of the products many different things, but actually one word will do to describe them across the board, miraculous.

We have barely got over the ‘Ameliorate Love Fest’ and now I need to tell you that there is another new product launch, Intensive Lip Treatment. There is also an update on Transforming Body Lotion, which sent my temperature soaring with bathroom anticipation. But first:

I love secret missions and I have been using Intensive Lip Treatment for several months (in between testing other products). With over 20 active ingredients, it helps protect lips from moisture loss, relieving dehydration and chapped lips. We call it ‘lip therapy’ because it is exactly that, therapeutically formulated to heal our lips while we sleep, although you can of course use it during the day. I do both.

Ameliorate say that Intensive Lip Treatment includes ‘intelligent technology’. I say we can put words around anything, but it has to perform. The basic tenet. It does. Miraculously. Get. It. On.
Intensive Lip Treatment by Ameliorate £15 for 15 ml

Transforming Body Lotion – Supersize

My God, I love it when products go supersize and Transforming Body Lotion just has. Rather spectacularly actually and I’m doing the dance of all dances in my bathroom.

Transforming Body Lotion. 500 ml of the stuff. With a pump. If you don’t mind, I am not telling you how many tubes of Transforming Body Lotion I have gone through over the years, mostly because Shabir will read this and I’m in enough trouble with him as it is. I doubt he will be deliriously happy, but I’ve stashed six of these in my bathroom in case we sell out. At this rate I’m heading straight into a business-divorce. But at least I’ll have fabulous soft skin and it all started with this product. Celebrate the original.
Transforming Body Lotion by Ameliorate £39 for 500 ml

Vitality Revealed by Nannette de Gaspé

When we launched the Art of Noir collection by Nannette de Gaspé, I deliberately didn’t launch these three masks at the same time for several different reasons, mostly because I didn’t want to give you a heart attack when you saw how much they cost.

Another reason is because we were launching Miss de Gaspé at the same time as Art of Noir and I wanted to introduce you to the concept of ‘dry masking’ before we delved in deep (very, very deep) with the Vitality Revealed range.

As I wrote on the December newsletter, Miss de Gaspé could be described as the ‘ready to wear collection’ and Art of Noir as ‘runway couture’. Vitality Revealed joins Art of Noir as the ‘runway couture’ collection and perhaps you should hold your breath as you are reading this, but that said, the results are truly breath-taking. They need to be.

Vitality Revealed. Face: Actually each of these three masks are ‘ritualistic events’ and should be used as a five-day intensive protocol. Consisting of one bio-stimulant dry ‘techstile’ infuser, the sachet includes one infuser (the mask) and with the formula side (non-printed side) you place it against your cleansed face. It is really comfortable, notwithstanding the fact that you will resemble Hannibal Lecter on a good day. Be careful where you wear it is what I think.

Each infuser contains a proprietary cocktail of vitamins and nutrients to aid in visibly reducing loose and sagging skin, restoring hydration and brightening the skin. The infuser should be worn for 15 minutes and after that you just replace it in the resealable sachet, ready for its next use.

This from Catherine Robinson of CN Traveller: ‘I use this mask when I’m really desperate, when my face looks dull, dry, tired and blotchy and it feels like nothing will help. But in the beauty world, something always helps, and when I take this mask off, my skin looks unbelievable, better than ever. Brighter, slightly lifted and plump like a Christmas turkey’.
Vitality Revealed: Face by Nannette de Gaspé £95

Vitality Revealed: Neck: ‘I feel bad about my neck’ wrote the late, great Nora Ephron. I live in a pendulum state. There are times when I really believe in neck creams (Neck Firming Cream by QRx Labs is rather fab) and then there are other times when I get lazy and think, what the heck, I’m using the very best skincare (in my humble opinion) so why not take products like Baume Noir Face or Reparative Moisture Emulsion (iS Clinical) right the way down. So generally speaking, that’s what I do most of the time.

But a neck treatment. A specific neck treatment. A ritualistic neck event. Well, yes please. Because I don’t want to feel bad about my neck and I want it to be hydrated and I want it to be infused with copper, zinc and magnesium. I want it very much thank you. And if I had my way I would like to continue the ritual every single day (or night) of the year because it’s fabulous. Can’t see that happening. Bonjour Shabir.
Vitality Revealed: Neck by Nannette de Gaspé £80

Vitality Revealed: Décolleté: I’m not sure how many of you watched Nannette and Trinny having a moment (perhaps a riot) in Trinny’s bathroom fixing this one. All I will say is that you have to wear a bra to attach this mask; do that and it will fix your decollete in a way that is truly amazing. And then you allow the skin to absorb the formulation. Who cares if it’s January and our bodies are covered up. I don’t.
Vitality Revealed: Décolleté by Nannette de Gaspé £80

Art of Noir

Being neat, I shall just follow on by saying that the feedback on the Art of Noir products continues to be amazing. We are all so happy that the products are being recognised for their brilliance, most especially Baume Noir Face, which is a breakthrough product combining a virtually waterless approach in delivering actives. And oh boy, does it deliver.

And this is where the ‘Token of Appreciation’ comes in. When you buy any product from the Art of Noir range, we will automatically send you sample sizes (5 ml each) of Essence Noir Cleanser, Essence Noir Polish and Baume Noir Face (please don’t fall over!). So that’s three sample products with each order and because these samples are limited, there is only one set per customer. My thanks to Nannette de Gaspé for supporting us so that we can support you. We all appreciate. **Sorry this promotion has ended**
Art of Noir by Nannette de Gaspé; Baume Noir Face £275 for 50 ml

Miracle Blur

Anything with the word ‘Miracle’ in it has to perform a miracle, or miracles, whatever the case may be. And this does. So much so that it keeps selling out and I’m not at all surprised.

It has been called many things, but mostly this tiny pot of wonder will transform your skin’s appearance. Specifically formulated as a lip and line filler, it minimises the appearance of fine lines by instantly blurring and filling. It will also help reduce the appearance of pores and will help fill in pitting from acne scars. It works best worn over make-up, although it can be used as a stand-alone, and it’s good across all skin tones.

If you’re wondering how it keeps selling out, yet it isn’t listed on our site, the answer is simple. It’s Trinny’s latest product and notwithstanding the fact that we don’t list make-up on our site, I have to share this with you because sharing makes me happy and you need to know about this amazing product. So the link below will take you straight to Trinny London; this is between you, Trinny and your skin. With love and kisses from me.
Miracle Blur by Trinny London £26

So the December newsletter got released and after receiving The Best Supplement of the Year Award, Ionicell became a legend once again. I thought we had it covered, but in my wildest dreams I couldn’t anticipate what would happen and it has now gone on to become the fastest-ever selling product in the history of VH, which is quite something.

My apologies for those who had to wait, but then Ionicell is an exceptional supplement as so many of you know. And there is more Ionicell news. Shabir wanted Ionicell in a vegicap with no filler in the capsule. What Shabir wants, Shabir gets and so now each capsule is crammed full with Ioniplex, the Fulvic ionic mineral that contains up to 65 essential, macro and trace minerals. All power to our hair, skin, nails and the cells that reside within.
Ionicell £20 for 60 Vegicaps

Fulvic Acid Elixir

When we launched Fulvic Acid Elixir, I said at the time that it was the liquid alternative to Ionicell, formulated for those who had a problem with swallowing capsules. As with Ionicell, it too contains pure, patented humic free fulvic acid (Ioniplex) and because it’s a liquid, it is rapidly absorbed. But you can also multi-task by pouring a couple of caps into your bath and you may also wish to add a few drops into your skincare; several of us are doing this and it is remarkable in impact. Skin impact.

But more than that, much more actually. We are receiving amazing feedback on Fulvic Acid and I don’t really care how many times I write it, we believe that this is THE ‘medicine’ of our time. Please read this:

‘I have been taking Fulvic Acid Elixir for three weeks and I am writing to say that I have never before experienced such a positive impact from a supplement. My Achilles tendinitis has massively improved, my energy levels are way up and my sleep is better.

I have Type 2 Diabetes and have also noticed an improvement in my peripheral neuropathy, a decrease in appetite and improved blood sugar levels. What a fantastic product.

My husband thanks you too as my libido has returned with a bang! At 53, with a hysterectomy-induced menopause, I had come to accept lower levels of sexual desire, but Fulvic Acid has changed all that. Wow. It’s the female equivalent of that little blue pill’.

The only other thing that I will add here is that I have given the Elixir to several people close to me, all with various health issues, some small, some not so small. The improvement it has had upon their health concerns really is astounding. And that matters. All of it matters and I take both, Ionicell and Fulvic Acid Elixir.

Mega Probiotic ND: The Duo-Pack Treat

As with Vitamin C serum (above), I deliberately didn’t put this on the December newsletter because of site-crashing fears. So here it is and this is in celebration of Mega Probiotic being our best-selling probiotic.

For two days only, you can buy the Mega Probiotic duo pack for £29, saving £10. I think I will run away (having only just got back to London) if we sell out of this, but in any event this offer ends midnight tomorrow, Wednesday 9 January. Get it whilst you can.

Incense For An Aroma of Purity & Peace by Ila-Spa

There are times when I just have to escape and in those moments I run to the Cotswolds to spend time with Denise Leicester, founder of Ila-Spa, Ilapothecary, Soul Medicine and Ila-Pet.

If you read the VH Awards, you will have seen that Denise won two awards, one for Soul Medicine and the other for Beat the Blues (Ilapothecary) which won the Fragrance of the Year Award. This is the room spray that most of us use as a perfume. Divine, yes it is.

If you are ever fortunate to go to Ila-Spa, you will feel like you are entering a scented incense heaven and I literally melt within seconds of arrival; not only that, a feeling of complete and utter calm overcomes me.

Hand-rolled in India using Sandalwood and Jasmine, Denise believes these incense sticks are the perfect solution for stress, clearing away all negative energy and filling the room with a sense of peace. She also believes that once discovered, you can’t live without these special incense sticks. And she is so right. I have them burning everywhere and if I close my eyes, I am in the Cotswolds, or on another planet somewhere. I wanted to share the bliss. So I’ve listed them. I hope you love.
Incense For An Aroma of Purity & Peace by Ila-Spa £12 for 50 grams; Beat The Blues Room Spray by Ilapothecary £28 for 50 ml

The Nigella Award

Nigella told me off and I laughed so much! If you follow us on Instagram you may have seen it, but basically when we posted the VH Awards, Nigella wrote the following: ‘You missed out GoW Prickly Pear Seed Oil. This deserves a prize for an everyday miracle. And every day my skin thanks you for it’. In response, I said I would give it ‘The Nigella Award’ on this newsletter, so I have kept my promise. And just so you know, Nigella inspired me to list the incense as above. We love. We share. We are.
The Nigella Award: 100% Pure Prickly Pear Seed Oil by GoW for VH £20 for 30 ml

Knot My Problem

I have a thing about hairbrushes; I can’t help it. Not taking anything away from The Dream Brush, which we launched on the December newsletter, I have another hairbrush for you. It is not instead of The Dream Brush (which, as predicted, went onto a wait list), it is as well as, basically because they are both brilliant and they both do different things.

I will confess that I am seduced by product names and ‘Knot My Problem’ fell into the seduction category. The seduction either ends because the product is useless, or it goes on to become an epic product. This is an epic product. Epic because I love the innovative design, which is almost sensual to the touch (if a hairbrush can be sensual), it fits beautifully into the palm of your hand and doesn’t slip while brushing.

So why Knot My Problem. Well because its gentle bristles glide through wet or dry hair smoothing out any knots and tangles and although it is not to be used with heat, it is perfect to take into the shower if you want to give yourself a head massage. For the best dry head massage, use The Dream Brush (so sensational). And suddenly we are into hairbrush wardrobes, following on from skincare wardrobes, which I’ve been writing about over the past few months. Rock on you beauties.

Great Hair Days (& How To Have Them)

Following on from the above, can I just take a moment to tell you about this amazing book, linked below. With a Foreword by Victoria Beckham and an Introduction by Sali Hughes, Great Hair Days is all about how to understand your hair and how to get the hair that you love.

Written by Luke Hersheson, he believes that everybody should have incredible hair and he explains how to achieve that. Also included are the products that he loves and respects, notably Root Cover Up by Color Wow. That made me happy. Bravo Luke and bravo Daniel Hersheson who has cut my hair since I was 18. Loyal. Yes I am!
Great Hair Days (& How To Have Them) by Luke Hersheson £12; Root Cover Up by Color Wow £28.50

The Truthbrush

And another brush. The Truthbrush. Created by a hospital surgeon and a fashion buyer, The Truthbrush came from a wish for a toothbrush that was beautiful and luxurious.

And beautiful they are. The rounded ergonomic hand is crafted from sustainable, organic bamboo, which is naturally anti-bacterial and biodegradable. They come with either soft (as recommended by dentists) or medium plant-based castor oil bristles and included in the range are Truthbrushes for children, the Tiny Truthbrush.

I would describe these as ‘designer toothbrushes’ without a designer price tag. I’m thinking of lining each of the colours up in my bathroom because that would make me smile. But more than that, you can also buy a year’s supply all boxed up and gorgeous. With the recommendation that each Truthbrush lasts three months, you get four in a box and I’m thinking of gifting these innovative little darlings because they are beyond cute. And so, so stylish. A trend begins.
The Truthbrush From £4

Lebon Organic Toothpaste

I feel a touch guilty. Jo Fairley has been asking me to list these toothpastes forever and a day and I kept forgetting. Not only do I stand chastised, but I have no shame either as I replicate this from the Beauty Bible girls:

‘Jo first spotted these at Printemps’ stunning new beauty hall in Paris and promptly splashed out an indecent amount on toothpaste. She hasn’t regretted it, and on trips to Paris has stocked up since.

She did a little jig at discovering that Lebon toothpaste is now available in the UK because this was a beauty/wellbeing category ripe for some serious innovation. So say ‘bonjour’ to a range of luxury toothpastes created in tandem with perfumer/flavour experts in Grasse, which, as you might guess, means that Lebon oral-care offers a very different sensory experience to the usual toothpaste drudgery.

By toothpaste standards, they are seriously expensive, but our thinking is: what price a great smile? And anything that encourages diligent brushing – as these do – has to be a good thing.

The first flavour to capture Jo’s imagination was Sweet Extravagance, described as ‘haute couture and sexy’, in which ‘rose embraces orange blossom with a hint of mint’. And yes, it’s just as delectable as that sounds. Since then, she’s enjoyed Rhythm is Love, featuring citrusy yuzu and ylang ylang, ‘the flower of the flowers’. Next on her toothpaste wish list – and who knew there could be such a thing – is Tropical Crush, which blends pineapple with rooibos and mint. There are whitening options too and the tubes are recyclable’.

I have Le White and Cap Ferrat Mood in my bathroom and suddenly, within two sections of this newsletter, our bathrooms and oral habits are transformed. For the better I think.
Lebon Toothpaste £17.99 for 75 ml

Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a common, but highly contagious viral infection of the skin and I am writing about it because it has recently reached epidemic proportions amongst children according to my daughter, who knows about these things. She implored me to write about it because most GPs are saying to leave it because it will go away in time, but we are talking 12-18 months here. However there is a clinically proven treatment that helps eradicate MC and it is called MolluDab.

Let’s just take a quick look at MC. The first sign of MC is the development of a rash caused by the Molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). The incubation period lasts a few weeks after which point the spots (or papules) appear. They are easily recognised and are small dome-like pimples often grouped together. Once one area of the skin is affected, the rash can spread to other areas of the skin, causing itching, discomfort, embarrassment and self-consciousness.

MolluDab is a fast-working solution and should be applied twice daily to all molluscum bumps. It can take between 1-5 weeks to work and usage should stop as soon as inflammation appears, which indicates that the molluscum bumps are healing.
MolluDab £25 for 2 ml

Trinny & Shabir Live

There have been two episodes of Trinny & Shabir Live since the last newsletter. Actually to be completely accurate, they were both filmed 48 hours before the release of the December newsletter, but my copy deadline had been and gone, so I’m writing about them now.

In the first session they delved into the importance of the Lymphatic System from dry brushing to taking Cleavers, a supplement to help cleanse the lymphatic system, which I’ve now decided to take because I won’t be left out. In the second session, Trinny and Shabir went through Trinny’s favourite supplements. If you regularly follow them both, you will know what they are, but here they do the detail on each of them.

You will find both of these videos on the front of our site, but I’ve linked them below for ease, together with Shabir’s article on the Lymphatic System.

Viridian Nutrition – A Treat

And yet another thing I didn’t get to write about on the December newsletter. Over the years I have written about Viridian Nutrition rather a lot. So, together with Shabir, I would just like to say that Viridian’s supplements can be trusted in their efficacy, research and development, many of them amongst our bestselling supplements.

Included in this list would be Clear Skin Complex, which I mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter, Cherry Night, which helps so many people who have sleep issues and of course Cleavers, as above.

The Treat: If you buy any of the three Viridian supplements mentioned above, we will automatically gift you Organic Pine Bark & Berry, a nutritional beverage which is worth £32. Benefits of Pine Bark & Berry include improved skin barrier function, helping to lower blood glucose levels and it can help improve visual function. Only one gift per customer whilst stock lasts. This is a limited-edition offer.
Clear Skin Complex £22.95 for 60 Capsules; Cherry Night £25.95 for 150 grams; Cleavers £15.55 for 90 Capsules

Plantago Tincture Returns + The Post Nasal Drip Regimen

After an absence of more than three months, Plantago Tincture has thankfully returned after an apparent crop failure. For a moment or two we thought we would have to tell you that it had gone to product heaven, but fortunately it is still with us and this allows me to replicate Shabir’s Post Nasal Drip Regimen, which is such a common health concern.

Post Nasal Drip is associated with the excessive production of mucus by the nasal mucosa, which can then accumulate at the back of the throat or in the nasal cavity, causing difficulties in breathing and other associated concerns. We know that the big culprits of Post-Nasal Drip tend to be acid producing foods, dairy products, tomatoes and potatoes – a moderate intake of these foods would be helpful. The recommended regimen is as follows:

Firstly I would recommend the use of Marshmallow Capsules; take one capsule three times a day. Marshmallow contains ‘mucilages’ which are long chain molecules that work to soothe and calm the inflamed mucus membranes and work very effectively at reducing the amount of mucus produced by the respiratory tract.

Secondly I recommend the use of Plantago Tincture; take 15 drops three times a day in water. Plantago works to help break down the bonds that form mucus and thus eases its expulsion as well as having mild antibacterial properties, which prevent the mucus from getting infected. This is a major problem that often results in the prolonging of this concern and often antibiotics are prescribed to help clear the infection.

It might also be prudent to use Ivy Thyme Complex; again take 15 drops two or three times a day in water. This specific tincture works for coughs and bronchitic conditions, but has also been found to help a lot of people with asthma as Ivy extracts soothe the lining of the respiratory tract. Asthma attacks are often triggered when inflammation occurs in the respiratory tract.
VH Editorial: The Post Nasal Drip RegimenMarshmallow Capsules £4.70 for 30 Capsules; Plantago Tincture £10.50 for 50 ml; Ivy Thyme Complex £10.50 for 50 ml

Death of a Product

After the near-death-experience of Plantago Tincture, I need to report that Ortis Tablets have entered product heaven, which is rather a shame as so many of you found these tablets really effective for constipation. In its place we are now recommending Aloe Vera Colax, which delicately encourages cleansing and purifying processes within the body with botanical ingredients including Rhubarb, Liquorice and Aniseed.
Aloe Vera Colax £5.99 for 30 Tablets

We Finish With A Treat – Cysticlean

Recurrent urinary health problems are distressing and life altering. Up to two million suffer from cystitis and urinary tract infections each year and on from that 20% have another case within two months.

Cysticlean is a thoroughly researched cranberry supplement containing 240 mg of PAC (proanthocyanidins) from the North American cranberry, which has the highest level of actives currently available in the UK. High levels of PAC are clinically proven to help benefit in the prevention of UTI’s and cystitis by decreasing the adherence of bacteria to the bladder wall, helping to reduce recurrent urinary tract issues.

Shabir always recommends Cysticlean for cystitis and urinary tract infections and for lasting prevention it has been proven that Cysticlean is most effective if taken for a minimum of three months. So to help you on your way, and whilst stocks last, when you buy Cysticlean (30 Capsules), we will automatically include another Cysticlean (30 Capsules) in your order. Please note this will not show up on your invoice ** sorry this promotion ended **
VH Editorial: Is Drinking Cranberry Juice A Myth?Cysticlean £24.99 for 30 Capsules

And so we have come to the end of another newsletter, this was a long one, I thought I would never stop writing! But I have and together with Shabir, Victoria and the VH team, we wish you all good things for the year ahead.

Finally I would just like to thank you for your ongoing loyalty and support, which as you know means so very much, not only to us, but to each of the brands that we trust and believe in.

With love
