Organic Traditions Yacon Syrup:  Yacon Syrup helps boosts your immune system, aids weight loss, alleviates constipation and helps control sugar levels.

Yacon root is indigenous to the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. A close relative of the Jerusalem artichoke the tuber’s sweet taste is mainly comprised of FOS or Fructo-oligosaccharides. Fructo-oligosaccharides are a type of dietary sugar that the body does not metabolize. These indigestible carbohydrates support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon without a significant impact on blood glucose levels. As a prebiotic, Yacon root syrup aids in supporting gastrointestinal health and maintaining the optimal growth and balance of beneficial bacteria.

Organic Traditions Yacon Syrup is made from the tubers of the Yacon root through a proprietary low temperature mechanical process without solvents or chemicals used. This low temperature process not only ensures that the Fructo-oligosaccharides are not degraded, but that the syrup has the most natural and delicious taste. Yacon Syrup is a light amber colored syrup with a delicate, sweet floral taste. It is the most incredible natural sweetener you have ever tried. Yacon Syrup is one of the best sugar substitute instead of other conventional sweeteners such as honey, agave and maple syrup. Yacon Syrup is not as sweet as conventional sugar and has a low glycemic effect within the body.

Yacon Syrup Benefits:

Yacon Syrup can boost your immune system, manage your blood sugar, and help you maintain a healthy weight. Yacon Syrup is packed with prebiotics that help to increase the number of good bowel bacteria, or skinny bacteria, that acts as an anti-inflammatory and can also speed up metabolism. These bacteria in the gut produce immune enhancing compounds, energising B vitamins and detoxify the gut.

With specific reference to weight loss, according to one study carried out, 40 volunteers were required to take one teaspoon of Yacon Syrup before each meal three times a day and were asked not to change their dietary habits or their workout schedule. After a short period of time, 29 of these volunteers reported some loss of weight with nearly half of these reporting weight loss of around five pounds. Additional benefits reported include a reduction in the Body Mass Index, which is a measure of body fat in comparison to height and weight, and reductions in the waist circumference.

Yacon Syrup can increase your metabolism greatly. This molasses like syrup works to increase stool bulk to prevent or control constipation. Yacon Syrup consumption may also help control your appetite and cravings.
Yacon Syrup may increase the absorption of essential minerals, like calcium, which could prevent diseases such as osteoporosis.

Yacon Syrup can also lower your hunger hormone called grehlin, which makes you feel full longer and manages cravings.

Yacon Syrup is the best natural sweetener and is a great alternative to artificial sweeteners as it  does not have an after-taste associated with some natural sweeteners such as stevia.

Organic Traditions Yacon Syrup is free from additives, colourants, flavours or additional sweeteners. Organic Traditions Yacon Syrup contains 100% pure yacon syrup and is certified organic.
