About rose-hip and GOPO®
GOPO®, the galactolipid compound in GOPO® Joint Health, is derived from Rosa Canina, a rose-hip sub-species commonly known as the dog-rose. It is a climbing wild rose species native to Europe and flowers from late spring to mid-summer. The flowers mature into an oval red-orange fruit, or ‘hip’ during early to mid-autumn. Rose-hips contain vitamins, pectin, tannins, flavonoids and carotenoids as well as vitamin C and galactolipids.

GOPO® Joint Health contains high levels of vitamin C as well as the galactolipid compound. Rose-hips are best known as one of the richest plant sources of vitamin C. Following a shortage of citrus fruits in the UK during World War II, a generation of children were given a daily spoonful of rose-hip syrup.

No, rose-hip products differ in formulation and concentration of rose-hip powder and the rose-hip sub-species they are derived from.

Is the product suitable for vegetarians?
The powder is suitable for vegetarians however, the capsule shell is made from gelatin. There is the option to split the capsule and discard the gelatin shell.
