Can-C Eye Drops are the most advanced eye formulation developed and contain lubricants together with a unique antioxidant called N-Acetyl-Carnosine (NAC).

Can-C Eye Drops with N-acetylcarnosine help to soothe and rejuvenate tired eyes, help with macular degeneration and other age-related eye disorders. Can-C eye drops for cataracts contain lubricants, an antioxidant and an anti-glycating agent, N-Acetyl-Carnosine (NAC). Glycation occurs as a result of nonenzymatic binding of sugar to protein, which eventually leads to tissue damage. This condition increases with age.

Benefits of Can-C Eye Drops:

  • Can C cataract eye drops have been proven to reduce the occurrence and slow the development of senile cataracts
  • Can assist to lower the intraocular pressure associated with glaucoma
  • Are also beneficial for contact lens disorders
  • Can- C drops have also been shown to help those suffering from presbyopia
  • Can be used to treat corneal disorders
  • Combat eye strain
  • Ease computer vision syndrome
  • End the discomfort of ocular inflammation
  • Restore normal sight to those inflicted with blurred vision
  • Alleviate dry eye syndrome
  • Can C cataract drops have been used with great success in the fight against retinal diseases
  • Have been used in the treatment of vitreous opacities and lesions
  • Can C carnosine eye drops have a wealth of properties which can improve the function of the ageing eye

Will Can-C eye drops work even though I wear contact lenses?

Yes, in fact, they can benefit contact lens wearing in 2 ways, firstly they inhibit the accumulation of lactic acid, thereby reducing the pain associated with contacts and secondly the lubricants in Can-C make wearing the contacts more comfortable. One thing we would recommend is that contacts be removed as normal, the eye washed with cold water and gently dabbed dry and then apply the Can-C and wait 15-minutes (this gives the eye-drop time to pass through the membranes and enter the eye) before replacing the contact lens as normal. Note that although this is not an essential requirement, it may be beneficial to do so.

As with all products, there are potential side effects and contraindications, although very few to date have been reported with Can-C™.

Stinging - Stinging is a very rare side effect with Can-C because it is formulated to a Ph of 6.8. This Ph is normal for the average person.  Rarely there are some individuals (either because of medical condition or because of their particular diet), may have a more acidic or alkaline balance in their body. If out of kilter with the norm, this can provoke a stinging reaction.  This stinging is normally mild and can often dissipate with continued use, but naturally this reaction is very personal and if it is too uncomfortable then Can-C use should be stopped. Naturally the effect can be lessened by applying cold water carefully to the eye, but this will also wash away the Can-C drops too.

Contact lenses - If you wear contact lenses, the lenses should be removed first and the eyes carefully washed with cold water. This will help remove any lactic acid, which if left present in the eye may also cause a stinging reaction. Once the contact lenses are removed the Can-C drops can be applied, try to wait at least 15-minutes before placing the contact lenses back into the eye as normal.

Contraindications - Although no serious contraindications have been noted to date, as is typical with all new products, Can-C has not been tested alongside all eye medications. Therefore if you are applying other prescription eye-drop medications, we recommend that you are under the guidance of your ophthalmic physician if you mean to use Can-C concurrently with your existing medication.

What is Can-C?
Can-C™ uniquely contains N-acetylcarnosine which is pronounced: n-a-seat-till-carn-o-seen. This natural molecule is known as a di-peptide. A di-peptide are two aminoacids linked together.  Carnosine is found naturally in foods and in human cells and acts as a protector having both anti-oxidant and anti-glycation properties, however the levels of carnosine decline with age and there is a link between its declining level and the onset of certain aging disorders including forms of cataract.

Can-C eye-drops have been specially produced to licensed cGMP pharmaceutical standards.
