Welcome to the May newsletter where we launch a new skincare brand, NIOD, to the world, which kind of changes everything, including my skin; we take a look at some new eye products, an Italian wellbeing range that is so deeply sensual it makes my heart flip and we throw the focus once again on our hair with the introduction of a new product, feedback and a celebration. We drill down on several health concerns, including hay fever and benign prostate enlargement and at this point let me say that there are several treats throughout the newsletter, so please read carefully as we share some of the products we love with you.
Before anything, as some of you realised, the monthly Addicts Bulletin got sent out to our entire database in error; I really don’t know what to say other than I knew within a split second that something had gone very wrong, I screamed loudly and then held my head in my hands as bedlam reigned for two entire days.
Being philosophical, I can’t undo what has been done, but what I will say is that we now have rather a lot of new VH Addicts, which makes me smile, one of our new products, E-Filler Eye Care, had an earlier than expected launch and Volume Support by HIF went so completely crazy mad that for the second time in two weeks we completely sold out, so my apologies if you went onto the wait list, but more on that later.
Finally, forgive me, but if you did read the Addicts Bulletin, there are going to be replications on this newsletter, but hey, worse things happen and I have no problem duplicating and underlining the brilliance of the products mentioned. That said, let’s go:
Non-Invasive Options In Dermal Science – NIOD
As many of you know, I am so incredibly fussy about skincare that I could happily let an entire year pass without launching new skincare products. I don’t feel the need to constantly bombard any of us with new products for the sake of it, yet having said that I have just done back to back launches, first iS Clinical and now NIOD, but bear with me, I have my reasons.
There is little point in me telling you that NIOD has rendered me speechless because I need to tell you about it, but just know from me that we are releasing two of the hero products first because these will help make a deeply significant difference to your skin and they can be integrated into existing skincare regimens.
On the April newsletter, I wrote about Deciem and my new boyfriend (ahem!), Brandon Truaxe, Founder and CEO of Deciem; NIOD is launched under the umbrella of the Deciem brands and after extensive testing, I am completely blown away by the efficacy of the products and I know you will be too. If I could marry products, I would walk down the aisle and marry both of these right now, but I’m a monogamous kind of girl, so I’ll just have to love them passionately in order to share:
Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1.0% – CAIS
Copper is trending, as I wrote on the last newsletter, and without blinding you with science, pure copper peptides in various forms, specifically the GHK-Cu tripeptide, have been researched extensively for their function in wound healing and general repair within the body. Recently, interest in copper peptides became elevated as many studies discovered that this enhanced state of repair actually counteracts many age-related problems within the body. These studies have shown that GHK-Cu is actually more effective than many medications in wound repair and in general skin repair.
As a result of the above, several peptide-based anti-ageing serums have been launched with many claiming to contain high percentages of peptide ‘actives’, including copper peptides, but the ‘actives’ themselves contain very small amounts of actual peptides. Furthermore, research has shown that most peptide actives contain variations of copper peptides instead of pure GHK-Cu largely due to the extremely expensive cost of pure GHK-Cu and partially due to the instability of GHK-Cu under many conditions once in liquid form. In short, copper peptide products are not created equally, so once again we have waded through the research and in our opinion, CAIS beats all other copper peptide serums currently available.
Bringing together 1.0% of pure GHK-Cu, supplied as a purified peptide powder, which is equivalent to very large volumes of peptide ‘actives’, alongside a separate base of peptide and an HA delivery system, CAIS gets delivered into the skin at various depths.
CAIS is a daily serum that is entirely focused on the health of skin by encouraging an ongoing elevated state of repair within the skin. It mimics actual behaviour of younger skin instead of targeting individual aspects of visible ageing, as has been the traditional focus of anti-ageing skincare in general. This stance changes everything and of course the results are completely phenomenal.
CAIS should be used twice daily, after cleansing, and you can expect to see initial results in five days, with continued improvement over time. This is the first step of a two-step regimen from NIOD and although it can be used as a stand-alone, with dramatic results (I love a bit of drama!); you will probably want to read about what’s coming next and don’t blame me if your heart skips a beat when you discover what it is; it is about as good as skincare gets.
CAIS £38 for 15 ml; CAIS £60 for 30 ml
Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex – MMHC
Hey Brandon, what’s with the long product names! I’ve shortened them both down, but actually I don’t care what you call your products, just know from me that your boyfriend status depended upon the efficacy of MMHC, but you get to live another day because I am completely mesmerized by this product.
MMHC is a multi-dimensional approach to topical hyaluronic supplementation; this advanced serum combines 12 (T-W-E-L-V-E) forms of hyaluronic compounds in a peptide-charged delivery system to offer visible hydration, plumping comfort and uniformity from the subcutaneous level to the skin’s surface.
As most of you know, the function of HA within the body, including the skin, is very different than its traditional use in skincare. Within the body, HA serves as a natural lubricant within joints and the eyes and as a cushion under the skin to help keep the skin plump, yet flexible.
In skincare, HA has traditionally had a very different function. Since HA can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, if offers extraordinary hydration topically. Traditionally, HA particles are too large to penetrate the skin in any significant way, so many formulations offered surface hydration at best, but recent developments have introduced different sizes and forms of HA to offer more advanced below-surface hydration.
This is where I start getting very happy because NIOD’s MMHC takes the use of topical HA compounds to a far more advanced level than ever imagined. The 12 forms of HA compounds are in a first-ever-peptide charged delivery system and are from non-animal biotechnology sources. They fall under three different classes of function:
HA Pre-Cursors: Introducing the most advanced form of HA-related function within the skin, multiple technologies target different triggers of HA production within the body, which is the first-ever use of HA concepts in skincare that is actually the same as the actual function of HA within the skin. Trust me, this is a BIG deal; by encouraging the skin to produce more of its own HA, these compounds offer visible anti-ageing and filling effects. HA levels in skin drop dramatically past our mid-30s and this increased production counteracts this loss.
Lower-Molecule-HA Compounds: MMHC contains multiple different sizes and forms of HA compounds to offer water-based lubrication at multiple depths of the skin, from the dermis up. This offers such an extraordinary level of comfort and suppleness that even very young skin does not experience because HA does not appear naturally within the various layers of the skin to serve any hydrating function.
Higher-Molecule-HA Compounds: MMHC also contains multiple HA compounds intended to provide surface hydration (the traditional use of HA in skincare) and to form an oil-free moisture-loss barrier on the surface, but with a novel modification so as not to interfere with the penetration of other smaller compounds within the formula.
At this point, I could write about the 12 different hyaluronic technologies, but I’m not going to do that as I’m not sure that any of us could take much more excitement. So you can check each of them out on our site on the product description.
As with CAIS, Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex is recommended as a core product, to be used twice daily. If used with CAIS, apply CAIS after cleansing, followed by MMHC. If used separately, apply MMHC after cleansing. Give MMHC about ten days to start delivering on promise.
Finally, MMHC increases the penetration ability of nearly all water-bound substances in supplementary skincare, which means it will enhance your existing skincare regimen dramatically. As I’ve written above, this changes and turbo-charges everything, so I invite you to join me as I share next-generation skincare products that quite literally stand alone and have been formulated for their extraordinary performance. Not a lot could make me happier right now because I know I have just written about two products that will become global bestsellers and I don’t say that often.
Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex – MMHC £38 for 30 ml (A Deciem gift will be included for a limited time; see later in the newsletter)
I know I seem to be writing forever about eye products, but it is kind of my specialised subject and as none of the products I have been writing about clash, I am continuing. Just know from me that unless I am literally blown away by the results, it would never appear on this newsletter.
It all began when I took my life (and my skin) into the hands of the lovely people at Emotion Skincare when I allowed them to give me an eye treatment. With the ‘E’ standing for the word ‘Emotion’ in the product, I was going to get pretty emotional if my skin reacted badly, as it so often does, and I landed up in A&E, most especially because I was in Italy. Thankfully all that happened was that I was stunned at the immediacy of the results, but then these products were created to give dramatic, and virtually instant results. There are three products in the range, all three were used on me and I have continued to use all three products for the purposes of testing. That said, they can be used as stand-alone products, most especially the Roller Eye Contour. Here they come:
Roller Eye Contour: Created specifically for the treatment of under-eye bag and dark circles, the Roller Eye Contour gives immediate comfort and relief on the eye contour area. This immediately went into my handbag and I use it all the time. As I’ve said on many different occasions, I live my life virtually chained to a computer so I’m forever looking at new products to help soothe my eyes. By virtue of the fact that it is in my handbag and didn’t go into the bin, as so many products do (sorry, but it’s true), I really feel that this should be on the VH must-have list. There is of course a rather wonderful health related consequence too; if you suffer from hay fever, this will help bring immediate relief to itchy, streaming eyes. Thankfully, I don’t get hay fever, but Shabir does and if he thinks he is going to steal my Roller, he can think again!
Roller Eye Contour £30
E-Filler Instant Lift: How many product releases have I read over the years with the words ‘instant lift’ written all over them. I’m really cynical about products, you would of course think it would be the other way round, but I am a consumer too and if a product doesn’t do what it’s meant to, I start stamping my feet like a deranged being.
So are the words ‘instant lift’ justified – yes they are. OMG I love this product, I love the packaging, I love everything about it. You only need the tiniest bit of product for both eyes, one pump does it, so this is going to last for several months. When you first put it on you can feel your skin tighten within about 20 seconds, and it stays tight – glory hallelujah!
A token of just how much I love this product is that it slightly stings my eyes when I first put it on. I don’t know whether this will happen to you because as I’ve written above, I’m super-sensitive. Such is its efficacy, I decided that there are times I will just have to suffer in the name of beauty. All I do is close my eyes for a couple of minutes after application and then gradually open them again and all is well, not least the results!
E-Filler Instant Lift £55
E-Filler Cream Eye Contour: This is the final stage and goes straight on top of the Instant Lift; again, less is more, but it feeds into Instant Lift and the ‘egg-white’ effect diminishes. I have been using all three of these products every morning and every evening for the past few weeks and I am so, so happy with the results. For sure they are each targeted to help alleviate eye contour wrinkles and fine lines, that’s a given with these types of products, but seeing is believing and I am truly believing what I see, despite having a name (Instant Lift) that sounds like a claim!
E-Filler Cream Eye Contour £65
E-Filler Complete Care: Another three step kit, I have a deep fondness for three step kits! This kit does of course include all the above three products and you save £10 if you buy the kit. Of course some of you may just be interested in the Roller Eye Counter to help with allergies, but for the rest of us, I really advocate using all three products together for optimum results. That’s it, another exclusive launch from another extraordinary niche brand.
E-Filler Complete Care £140
Emotion – Candle System Massage
I’m not really sure if these products should be listed under health, wellbeing or beauty because not only do they tick each of those boxes, but because they are so deeply sensual I could think of at least one more category to add to that list. I think I shall leave that to your imagination because it may end up reading like a steamy novel and I could lose myself in the moment!
What I will say is that they are from Italy, they also come from Emotion Skincare and they are pretty addictive. A few of my friends, who were testing for me, have become so obsessed I’m starting to have a panic about the stock levels before I’ve even released them, most especially because I’ve got a deep desire to line them up all round my bathroom.
Putting my personal thoughts on one side, they are actually described as being a wellness ritual (love the word ‘ritual’) and all you need to do is light your chosen candle, five to ten minutes before you want to massage the butters into your skin. The butters melt at a relatively low temperature of about 40-45 degrees centigrade, so allow the candle to burn, blow it out and then wait a couple of minutes and then pour the melted butters into the palm of your hand and massage.
You actually don’t need to do a full body massage, there will be times when you just want to rub these butters into your arms or legs, and it will leave your skin glowing with a divine scent. The rich plant butters are blended with ultra-pure natural oils and carefully selected active ingredients to help nourish the skin intensively.
There are five products in the range, four for the body and one for the face, although that can of course be used on the body too. I have been testing the Sublime Sensitive Hot Balm Massage just because I have to be really careful with my touchy, touchy skin and perhaps one of the most exciting things for me is that there are no essential oils in the blend, so for once in my life I can experience beautifully scented skincare without the threat of an allergic reaction. For me, that’s profound.
The four other products are Cell Hot Balm Massage, which helps improve the appearance of cellulite, whilst toning up the legs; Joy Hot Balm Massage, which helps light up the emotions (eeeek, nothing to add!); Tone Hot Balm Massage, which does what it says, tones up the body and helps relax stressed skin tissues and finally Sensitive Hot Balm Massage (face), which can be used to help repair dry, mature and super sensitive skin both on the face and, if desired, on the body.
I love the packaging, the containers resemble a contemporary apothecary, but then I love all things Italian, their sense of style really does send me. Please do not burn any of these candles for longer than 45 minutes, honestly you really won’t need to and I hope you love the sheer indulgence as much as I do.
Emotion Hot Balm Massage Candles From £20 each
Version 2: The NEW O! Wow Brush
Please don’t kill me. I know that several thousand of you have and love the O! Wow Brush, but a new version has just been launched and I can’t hide it from you. Actually why would I want to when its brilliance has just stepped up another level, so here are the new improvements:
The first change is that the new version has a pointed tip, which has been designed to fit underneath the hollows of the eyes and helps contour facial features with greater precision; the handle has changed, it is now shaped to fit perfectly in your hand with greater stability. The dome of the brush remains the same, densely packed with ultra-fine fibres to ensure an airbrushed effect with an immaculate streak-free touch and finally the slip off cap helps prevent bristles from germs, dirt and dust, ideal for travelling.
There are of course those amongst us who will just have to have the new version and I suppose it negates the need to buy a specifically designed concealer brush, as the pointed tip does this job rather brilliantly. I know many of you are buying stashes of these to give away as gifts, so the gift just got a whole lot better and the worst case scenario, if you wanted to change over, would be to clean up your existing brush and give it to somebody to try. They will love you for it and after all is said and done, it’s good to share.
The New O! Wow Brush £20; Pure Ease Brush Cleaner £12
Right, that’s some of the new launches done; I’m heading into a couple of health concerns now, after which I will be writing about HIF (Hair is Fabric), after last month’s launch, we celebrate the third anniversary of Phylia (yes, it’s three years!) and I’ll introduce you to another fabulous Fountain Molecule, so get ready, it’s The Hair Molecule.
Hay Fever Relief
Hay fever, or seasonal allergic rhinitis, can severely affect the quality of life. Occurring mostly during spring and summer, the symptoms of hay fever include a runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, all of which can leave you drained of energy and generally feeling a bit under the weather.
The causes of hay fever are widely known. It is an allergic response to pollen and other airborne allergens such as fungal spores, and the reaction is further heightened by pollution. When airborne allergens, such as pollen, enter the body, the immune system produces just the right amount of histamine, which sends signals to the complex structure of blood cells and chemicals that help to protect the body. In the case of hay fever, the body produces far too much histamine than is required, resulting in the inflammation of the tissues, leading to a stuffy nose, watery eyes, wheezing and even headaches.
Many people resort to conventional treatments, which include anti-histamine tablets, but these are not without side effects and fortunately there are some really good supplements that can help people to cope with hay fever and we recommend the use of Aller-DMG by Food Science of Vermont.
Containing well-researched nutrients, Aller-DMG works to regulate histamine levels in the body, improve respiratory function and ensures that the immune system does not over-react to allergens such as pollen, thus helping to reduce the symptoms of hay fever. Aller-DMG is equally suitable for use against numerous other types of allergies, including food intolerances, skin reactions and pet dander.
Shabir writes further about specific hay fever remedies, which covers remedies for children and more specifically targeted solutions, so do take time to check it out.
VH Editorial: Hay Fever Relief for The Family; Aller-DMG £18 for 60 Tablets
Benign Prostate Enlargement
Prostate enlargement affects nearly half of all men over the age of 50 and almost 90% of men over the age of 80. This condition is referred to as Benign Prostate Enlargement (BPE) and is also known as Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH does not indicate cancer risk, however some researchers suggest that hormonal changes leading to BPH may spur the onset of cell mutation.
BPH occurs when normal prostate cells grow abnormally. As the prostate gland enlarges, it presses onto the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the bladder to discharge. This pressure can lead to the sensation that the bladder is not empty, even after emptying, an urgent need to urinate, a weak urinary stream and dribbling, the need to urinate frequently and the need to urinate several times during the night, often disturbing sleep.
It is still unclear as to why some men get BPH and others don’t, or what might prevent this condition. The only established risk factors for BPH are age and family history. Some scientists believe that the decrease in the male hormone testosterone, as a result of the ageing process, could lead to what is termed oestrogen dominance; the small amounts of oestrogen produced become dominant in the bloodstream having a greater impact, possibly encouraging cell growth. Others state that a substance called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which occurs as a result of testosterone metabolism, accumulates in the prostate gland. DHT is an inflammatory compound that may encourage rapid cell growth leading to prostate enlargement.
There are many natural remedies that really do help in the prevention of BPH and Shabir outlines these products in greater detail in his article, with the recommendation of using Ultra Natural Prostate by Life Extension.
VH Editorial: Benign Prostate Enlargement; Ultra Natural Prostate £30 for 60 Softgels
HIF (Hair is Fabric)
The love affair with HIF continues after we launched the brand on the April newsletter, so please forgive me if you have had to wait longer than normal for your order to arrive, but we kind of sold out within 24 hours and then the following section got released to the world, instead of just to the VH Addicts and the demand for Volume Support went shooting off the Richter scale. This is what I wrote about Volume Support just in case you missed the drama:
This was always going to be the one I would test first because unless I am using an exceptional shampoo, I just have bad hair days. The fact that I haven’t had a bad hair day for over three years (I wash my hair every day) is testimony to Phylia and now alongside it, HIF.
When I first tested Volume Support, far from having a bad hair day, I had a wild hair day, of the good kind you understand! No, no, I screamed at the mirror, this can’t be happening to me, not to my hair that can hang limply like a pair of 30 year old curtains – I had volume, real volume, the kind of volume where you do the hair flick with attitude.
I then started talking to Brandon in my head asking him what he had done to my hair! Of course he couldn’t answer back, how could he, he didn’t know I was talking to him, but let’s just say here that if you want BIG hair and you want to treat it with the utmost love and care, then you just have to try Volume Support. The all-important thing is to keep it on for three minutes whilst it is activating; I stand in the shower and do a count of 180, to one side obviously, not with the shower head pumping onto my head!
Volume Support by HIF £30 (a little goes a long way!)
As ever when we launch new products, the feedback starts rolling in and I am so, so grateful. Not only does this serve to let us know what you really think, but it allows me to share with the brands, who have often spent years in research and development, and with each of you. When I received the following email regarding Hydration Support, it kind of made my day:
‘I just wanted to give feedback on Hydration Support. In November 2014 I developed seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, which caused a lot of hair going down the skin when it was washed. This in itself was bad enough, but the really dry scalp and flakes made things worse. Having read the April newsletter about HIF, I bought the Hydration Support. I’ve only used it once, but my scalp feels so much better and my hair looks wonderful. I will get the Colour Support next. Excellent.’
Hydration Support by HIF £25 (remember the 180 count!)
Just one more product from HIF to write about on this newsletter and we are going to do Anti-Frizz Support, which eases frizz and helps to decrease fly-away hair. Frizz occurs because hair isn’t properly nourished to begin with. Cue HIF Anti-Frizz Support, which is gentle on your hair, yet formulated with high quality powerful anti-frizz nutrients. Hydrolized starch allows the hair to attract and retain moisture, which makes hair more manageable. Deep conditioning agents help repair damaged hair, which is the all important factor.
As with all the HIF products, Anti-Frizz support is a cleansing conditioner and not a traditional shampoo. Because we are talking about a whole new sector in haircare, it is slightly difficult to comprehend – we all know that, but pioneering is in our blood (I’m talking a collective blood bank here) and so we cleanse, we condition, we smile. Yes, for sure your hair will feel very different when you start to rinse out the cleansing conditioner, it will feel thicker, whichever product you use, so ensure you rinse well and just watch what happens to your hair when you blow dry it.
Anti-Frizz, well you won’t be taking a walk on the wild-side, leave that one to me with Volume Support. Anti-Frizz will knock out the frizz and probably knock you over in shock when you see the results. And that is what pioneering products are all about; the shock, the drama, the efficacy and of course changing the face (or the head – and that’s a double entendre) of beauty as we know it.
Anti-Frizz Support by HIF £30
Phylia de M
I am deliberately following HIF with Phylia, because as I wrote on the April newsletter, these two outstanding haircare brands are, in my humble opinion, the best in the world. There are no rules, you can use them both, you can alternate, you can use them separately, or together if you feel the need; the end result remains the same, you will have fabulous hair.
And so we celebrate; it is three years to the month since the global launch of Phylia and what a three years it has been. OMG, were we up against it, we were launching an unknown brand, with unknown products into a heavily saturated market at the top end of the market in terms of price point. All I knew at that time was that the products were unlike anything that was available, the research stemmed back over a decade and it was of course pretty impeccable.
The rest is history, Phylia is now hugely acclaimed all over the world, some of the testimonials have made me cry (I’m talking hair loss due to critical illness) and it has won awards, for which I am so grateful.
But of course, it is all about Kazu Namise, the founder of Phylia de M. Her passion is infectious and she held my hand, as I held hers, right from the beginning. My darling Kazu-la-lu-la, as I call her, so genuine, so full of integrity, so full of love and so generous that she has asked me to share the following with you:
‘Spring is a time of renewal and re-growth, and while the flowers bloom and the trees sprout new leaves, our bodies become more active and engaged with the outdoors. This abundant season is the perfect time for you to introduce Phylia’s Re-Connect formula, which focuses on new hair growth, into your hair routine.
Re-Connect works to activate new growth and create your best hair yet, from the earliest days of spring through the hottest days of summer. I would now like to offer a gift with purchase to those who have supported Phylia right from the beginning. That gift is the Travel Size Re-Connect (2.2 oz), worth £30, which will be sent free with any Phylia purchase over £50’.
I have nothing to add, except to say that this is a limited offer and when they have gone, they really have gone, so please order early to avoid disappointment. Kazu, thank you. ** Sorry, this promotion has now ended**
Phylia de M from £28
The Hair Molecule
I am going to finish off the hair section by telling you about The Hair Molecule, firstly because we think it’s fabulous and secondly because, this concentrated liquid supplement incorporates Silicon, Biotin and a Hyaluronic Acid matrix to help support your hair from within to grow, strong and healthy. Let’s do a quick rundown on the ingredients:
Silicon: When you are young, your body has abundant levels of silicon, which is why children normally have beautiful silky hair, soft skin and perfect nails. As we age, we start to lose what were once large amounts of silicon, so each two-teaspoon serving of The Hair Molecule, provides 500 mg of silicon to support hair health.
Biotin: Biotin can help stimulate rapid new hair and nail growth, and has been shown to help people suffering from a dry scalp.
Hyaluronic Acid: Helps regulate and preserve moisture within tissues and delivers nutrients into the cells. It also enhances the tissue’s water retention capacity.
Because the health of hair is so important and if you want your hair to shine, do take this molecule. We are still recommending Superior Hair if you are prone to serious hair loss issues, but for the rest of us, do try this, I think you will love it. For those of you who are now taking The Glow Molecule (click here to read what I wrote about it last month) add this one to the list and you will be walking around with glowing skin and shining hair; pretty perfect then.
The Hair Molecule £35; The Glow Molecule £38; Superior Hair £26 for 90 Capsules

Ameliorate: Another outstanding launch, this time for the award-winning body lotion that has been developed to help improve the appearance of Keratosis Pilaris, a rough, bumpy dry skin condition, more commonly referred to as KP or ‘chicken skin’.

It contains 30 capsules, it is worth £9.25 and I think you need to be pretty fast on this one.
Mega Probiotic ND £18.50 for 60 Capsules ** Sorry, this promotion has now ended**
News and Feedback
On last month’s newsletter we launched the long-awaited Youth Serum by iS Clinical. There are times when my LA boyfriends leave me pretty speechless, most especially when I go out to dinner with them and they look after me as if I was a princess (ahem!); I wish I could share that experience with you, but I can’t, but what I can share with you are their products and Youth Serum just went wild after we released it. For sure, I know that iS Clinical is not for everybody, but for those of us who worship the brand, please read these two comments:
‘Those naughty LA boyfriends of yours were teasing me for months on Facebook by posting on and on about the new Youth Serum, so when it finally appeared I was ready to snap it up. I get a better tightening sensation when I pat it on rather than smoothing it on, but wowzers it is incredible stuff. Bravo iS, they’ve outdone themselves. My eye area and forehead are noticeably less crinkly, yay!’
‘This morning as I woke up, the first thing my husband said to me was ‘you look so good, your skin looks amazing, what have you done? BTW, I am no spring chicken anymore, but just as I thought that iS Clinical products couldn’t get any better, there they are with further magic in a bottle – Youth Serum. I have only been using it for one week and my skin looks as if it has found its fountain of youth again. Amazing! Please thank iS Clinical for creating such miraculous products’.
I think they already know, so that’s a wrap from me.
Youth Serum £137 for 30 ml
Fan Mail: Gill, I do love Volume Support. I feel it’s really giving an extra oomph to my thin, somewhat sad hair. Thank you so much for introducing me to it.
Fan Mail: Just to say that CellBorn Exfoliating Peeling Gel is amazing and I love it, I’m also using it on my nails to sort out my ragged cuticles and it works a dream; then there is HIF Volume Support, I just love the way my hair behaves and having used it I now want to try them all. Finally the E-Filler Eye Care, yes I agree about the stinging when you first apply the ‘lift’ serum, but I can’t wait see the new me. Such great products, thank you so much.
CellBorn Exfoliating Peel Gel by Cailyn £30; Volume Support by HIF £30; E-Filler Complete Care £140
Fan Mail: I have now been taking Superior Joints for just over a month. After just the first few days I noticed a definite improvement in my knee. I can only describe it as feeling more lubricated and less creaky and definitely less painful. Over the past month, the knee has gradually recovered and I am totally delighted to say that I now feel it is completely back to normal. I have resumed six mile walks and so far, all is well.
Superior Joints £30 for 60 Capsules
In My Handbag
I am always asked what supplements I take and quite honestly I think I need to update you on everything that I’m currently taking, but I’ll do that on the next newsletter. For now I want to tell you what’s in my handbag; I am primarily doing this because I want an excuse to write about a product which is so, so brilliant, I want the world to know about it, even though it doesn’t belong to me, as in it isn’t listed on VH.
That product is Custom Cover Drops by Cover FX. You may well have seen a whole load of beauty journalists swoon over this product, so I want to join in, even though I’m not a journalist! Custom Cover Drops are pure pigments that allow you to customize any product in your beauty regimen and control the level of coverage.
Custom Cover Drops can be mixed with anything liquid: moisturisers, serums, oils, primers, foundations and tinted moisturisers. It is available in 25 different shades and it features Flash Fusion technology, which you can read all about on their site. It’s so simple, just place your usual product into the palm of your hand, drop in Custom Cover Drops, mix with your fingertips and transform for a perfect customized finish, from a sheer tint to a full coverage foundation. What a genius product. I’m in love; check it here.
I’m not sure if any of you are still interested in my handbag after that, but just in case you are curious, I am never without the Rainbow Volume S Brush (of course!), and Lanolips 101. Anyway point made on Cover FX and their concealer is pretty amazing too.
Rainbow Volume S Brush £12; Lanolips 101 Ointment £11 for 15 grams
Before anything, I would just like to say the biggest ever thank you to everybody who responded to Sally Brampton’s article on her recent attempted suicide. There was just not enough room to publish everybody’s response, so I apologise if yours wasn’t included. I sent Sally everything and let her know about the emails and phone calls too and she sends her love to each of you. Thank you for your compassion, it means everything. This month Sally is back and writing about Acts of Kindness, which I’m sure you will want to read.

In our other editorial features, Carolyn Asome tells us about the only things we need to know about fashion this spring; Jo Fairley recommends yoga for better sleep; on the same theme, Catherine Turner writes about ‘drifting off’, which is all about how sleep has become another box to tick and the Beauty Bible girls write about getting our legs out after the l-o-n-g winter.
The End Bit
Migrazap: We love all things magnesium and this clever little roll-on product is no exception. Containing pure magnesium oil and the essential oils of lavender, peppermint and chamomile, it can be used to help alleviate migraines, headaches and general tension. During tense times, apply to temples, neck and forehead using a circular motion to provide a cool, refreshing sensation.
Migrazap £9 for 7 ml
LifeMel: Having told everybody that LifeMel was no longer available in the UK, it suddenly resurrected itself by some form of a miracle. So now you know and we are so pleased because it threw a whole lot of people into unnecessary despair. Resume!
LifeMel Honey £37.50
That’s it, we have come to the end of another newsletter, so all that remains is for me, together with Shabir and the entire VH team, to thank each and every one of you for your amazing loyalty and support.
I hope you have a great May and let the sun shine on all of us!
