April Newsletter 2014

April Newsletter

Welcome to the April newsletter, which I should really name as ‘Letter from America’ as Shabir and I have just come back from LA with a whole host of new products to tell you about, all of which are setting trends and we like that a lot! So we have three new products from In Fiore, we launch Kitsch, one of the coolest brands EVER (so chic, I am beside myself with excitement), I tell you about the ‘Wake-up Pill’ and an amazing acupressure tool. That aside, we have exciting new launches from Sarah Chapman, Dr Nennigers and Phytocool, a treat from Soapsmith, a re-launch from This Works and I’m celebrating and dancing around like a complete lunatic after Phylia won an incredible award. I’m going to start with all the new releases, so let’s go:

In Fiore

There is no way that I was going to be in LA without going up to San Francisco to meet Julie Elliott, creator of In Fiore, and to visit her adorable store, as featured in the Louis Vuitton City Guide. We spent a few very happy hours with Julie opening and sniffing all her remarkable potions and listening to her talk passionately about her brand. It was so inspiring and as I wrote on the March newsletter, we will be drip feeding more gorgeous In Fiore products onto our site throughout the year, which I’m very excited about because each product is so very special.

If you missed what I wrote about In Fiore on the March newsletter, then you can read it here, but just to say that our two bestselling products so far are Fleur Vibrante Healing Floral Essence (the American bestseller) and Veloutée (the Japanese bestseller), with the 4-2-4 regimen following closely behind. In the Body Balm category, the runaway bestseller is Shevanti and the feedback we are receiving about the balms is pretty sensational – it’s a case of total love, so here come the new products and check out Fleur Vibrante Travel at the end of this section.
Fleur Vibrante Healing Floral Essence £50 for 50 ml; Veloutée £40 for 5 ml; 4-2-4 Regimen £200; Shevanti Body Balm £60 for 240 ml

Nourrit Face Oil Concentré: We have already released Pur Face Oil and I am now going to tell you about Nourrit Face Oil, which I think will resonate with many of you. Before I get specific, each of the Face Oils are suitable for all skin types and should be selected depending on conditions of issue. The concentrates are blended in a light and luxurious base of antioxidant rich grapeseed oil and rosehip seed oil, a combination that makes an ideal carrier of healing essential oils with deep penetrating abilities. The small molecular structure of the concentrates allows them to quickly absorb into skin and bring hydration and nutrients directly to cells. These blends have 100% compatibility with the skin’s chemistry and leaves skin supple and luminous, without clogging pores or leaving a residue.

Rich and rejuvenating, Nourrit is known as the ‘ultimate night repair face oil and skin reviver’ and is a must-have product for helping to lift tired, dull complexions. By far the richest and most rejuvenating of the Concentré blends, Nourrit helps alleviate wrinkles, lifts tired dullness from dehydrated skin, encourages new cell growth, improves poor circulation and helps heal sun damage, scars and marks. Especially formulated for dry, dehydrated and mature skin, Nourrit brings vitality and luminosity to lifeless complexions, most significantly when layered with Complexe de Fleur for the day and Fleur Vibrante for night, although it works remarkably well as a stand-alone product.
Nourrit Face Oil Concentré £50 for 30 ml; Complexe de Fleur Cellular Renewal Complex £100 for 60 ml

Lucense Illuminating Floral Extract: A complex serum of luminosity-boosting florals and herbs, blended to bring your complexion to full radiant bloom. Lucense contains special florals and tyrosinase-inhibiting herbals to help even out skin tone and pigmentation, leaving skin with a healthy and youthful radiance. Herbal extracts of turmeric, rumex, bearberry and liquorice are blended in healing aloe and gentle alpha-hydroxyl acids, which soften the skin and intensify the penetration of nutrients. Lucense also helps improve blood circulation for a vibrant complexion, helps prevent melanin formation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity, improves skin tone, helps to lighten pigmentation, helps promote cell regeneration, is high in antioxidants and is an excellent anti-inflammatory. Quite a product! Just use 5-7 drops morning and evening after cleansing either as a stand-alone or blended with Complexe de Fleur. To intensify results follow with Crème de Fleur for day and Fleur Vibrante for night.
Lucense Illuminating Floral Extract £100 for 30 ml; Crème de Fleur £100 for 50 ml

Tangiers Body Balm: In Fiore Body Balms enhance the long-term effect of the essential oils used, so they serve as a more intensive treatment by providing a protective and healing barrier that both soothes and nourishes the skin. Tangiers is a hand blended, silky light balm blended with a warm uplifting blend of essential oils of lemongrass, fresh ginger root and cold-pressed tangerine peel. Ginger’s warm, slightly green aroma blends with the grassy-citrus-earthy essence of lemongrass, while tangerine brightens with a fresh orangey nose. Divine!
Tangiers Body Balm £60 for 240 ml

Fleur Vibrante – Travel Size: The response to Fleur Vibrante has been completely amazing and so many of you have asked whether it would be possible to buy a travel size for two reasons; the first is the obvious one, to take away with you and the second reason is that many of you want to try this wonderful product. So here it is, the travel size Fleur Vibrante and I’ve got a feeling this may go rather wild, so bear with us if these go quickly!
Fleur Vibrante Travel Size £7.50 for 7.5 ml (a little goes a long way)

Kitsch

Picture this: I walk into Kitsch’s office and showroom in LA and I start hyper-ventilating with excitement and in my head I’m already writing this section of the newsletter. Kitsch is an accessories brand and their ‘California Cool’ collection of fun and colourful hair-come-wrist ties and headbands has become a cult brand to wear and be seen in. Literally wherever I went in LA, people were wearing Kitsch, so not to be left out, I immediately ‘stole’ three hair ties (three is good!) and put them on my wrist and they are still there, well actually not the originals as you will read below!

Just to give you a bit of background, Kitsch was founded by Cassandra Morales and Jeremy Thurswell who travelled the globe in search of unique designs. Kitsch first started out of Cassandra’s tiny apartment and has now expanded into one of LA’s leading accessories manufacturers. More than anything I love a success story, Cassandra and Jeremy are an absolute dream to work with and aside from trending heavily, the hair ties and headbands are really kind to your hair, so after nearly two years of writing about Phylia, I have now found the perfect partner for keeping your hair looking fabulous, on-trend and so chic that I want to die. Except I won’t expire just yet as I need to finish this newsletter!

Before I tell you about the gorgeous products, let me just say that I never, ever write about celebrity endorsements for several reasons; firstly because I don’t believe half of them, secondly because ‘certain’ celebrities will endorse anything that flies in front of them for money (tell it as it is!) and finally I don’t know who half of them are anyway! I make an exception here because with my hand on my heart, I know that Jessica Alba, Alessandro Ambrosio, Reese Witherspoon and Hilary Duff wear Kitsch because they are in love with the brand and I promise you they are not paid to wear it, and just for good measure Jessica Alba adores and uses Phylia. Good obsessions to have is what I say! Right, here come the products:

Hair Ties: Hair Ties by Kitsch are specially designed to be kind on your hair and cute on your wrist, meaning they are crease-less and do not bend your ponytail or get caught in your hair and they double as a fashionable bracelet you can stack, layer and collect. These one-of-a-kind ponytail holders come in various colours, assortments, prints, and patterns. Each unique combination allows the wearer to express their personal creativity and individuality, while maintaining the functionality of a classic hair elastic. You can rest assured they are made from super soft, durable elastic so they will never bend, crease or get tangled in your hair. I’m pretty confident that these are the best hair ties you will ever find. Kitsch makes a great gift too as everyone loves these stylish hair ties and they make a great addition to your wardrobe. So shop away because you can never have enough Kitsch in your life!
Kitsch Hair Ties from £6

Headbands: Become a fashionista and wear a Kitsch headband! Whatever you are doing, these headbands have you covered and there’s a headband for every style and occasion. Add a touch of glam with the metallic headbands; they have just the right amount of glitter and shine to glitz up an outfit and stand out (might wear mine to wheel my trolley round the supermarket), discover the pretty Swan Lake pastel colours or just go for the basic range of solid colours. As with the hair ties, these cute hair headbands will not crease or tangle in your hair. Get one on your head right now, even if you have short hair – who cares – be adventurous is what I say!
Kitsch Headbands from £8.50

Just to wrap, needless to say I have the entire collection and I have gone through so many hair ties since I got back from LA because my friends are stealing them off my wrist! This will all be news to Shabir and his eyes will start rolling to heaven when he reads this, but if he says anything, I shall just start singing and pretend not to hear him, which as a matter of course I do anyway. Let’s move on!

New: The Aculief – Wearable Acupressure

The Aculief is an incredibly effective wearable acupressure tool, which helps relieve tension by applying pressure to the LI4 Acupressure Point. Over 500 clinical trials of acupuncture have been conducted over the past three decades from credible institutions, such as the Mayo Clinic, resulting in substantial evidence that acupuncture is very effective in treating chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, headaches and arthritis. In 2011 Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore) published a study stating that proper stimulation of LI4 is effective in relieving headaches, pain of the eyes, toothaches, jaw pain and pain of the limbs and bones.

The LI4 Acupressure Point (Large Intestine 4) is also referred to as ‘hegu’ in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is located on your hand between the thumb and forefinger and has been used for thousands of years as one of the most effective acupressure points for immediate tension relief and restoring the body’s natural flow of energy, known as ‘Qi’ in TCM.

The Aculief should simply be placed between the thumb and forefinger on either hand so that it applies pressure to the LI4 acupuncture point. It is located on the small bulge of muscle just above the web of skin between the thumb and forefinger and is a universal size to fit men and women. Typically you should notice relief almost immediately, although it can take up to 30 minutes and it can be worn from five minutes to several hours, depending upon preference. Many users report a heightened awareness and alertness when wearing The Aculief.

Shabir and I tested this out in LA and we both kept it on for a few hours; Shabir said he felt ‘a rush’ within a minute and he felt it really made a difference to his energy levels, which is just as well as we had a full-on schedule of meetings.

There are no known side effects to wearing The Aculief, although it must not be used during pregnancy as the LI4 pressure point has been known to cause contractions.

Finally, in an article entitled ‘Short Circuit a Headache in 30 Seconds’ featured in Men’s Health (America), Marc Sharfman MD, Director of the Headache Institute in Winter Park, Florida, swears that applying pressure to LI4 is better than taking headache medication (no names!). I love simple and innovative products and The Aculief certainly falls into that category. Clever, clever little gizmo.
The Aculief £19.95

New: Easy Up – The Wake Up Pill

This little product has just been nominated as one the best recent product releases in America. Bearing in mind there are literally thousands of products all vying for recognition , this was quite an achievement, so of course it had to come home with us because it is rather fabulous and completely cutting-edge.

There are many drugs and natural sleeping remedies on the market to help you fall asleep, but there isn’t a ‘Wake Up Pill’ to help you wake up easier with more energy in the morning, until now. So let me introduce you to ‘Easy Up’, the wake up pill that you take just before you go to bed as it heralds the development of a new technology, Time Delayed Technology, with Coffee Bean Extract.

Time Engineered Technologies, a biochemical product development company, have created ‘Time Delayed Coffee Extract Caplet’. Time Delayed Technology allows dietary supplements and other ingredients to be taken, but not fully released and absorbed into the body until a future time. Easy Up Wake Up Aid is engineered to deliver a cup of coffee’s worth of caffeine seven or eight hours after taking, so right before the user wakes up, and it then delivers a ‘second cup’ throughout the day.

This is made possible by ensuring that the coating surrounding the coffee bean extract dissolves slowly, ensuring that the full dose of energy ingredients don’t reach the user’s system until the morning. Taking this supplement is as safe as drinking two strong cups of coffee in the morning and it’s a bit like getting your first cup of coffee (if you drink coffee) when you really need it, right before you wake up.

I think this is brilliant because I don’t really wake up before I’ve had some coffee, let alone talk to anybody and just so that you know, this newsletter is completely powered by The Wake Up Pill, so beware, I could be writing forever and a day. I’ve got the buzz; coupled with Sibergin, I’m rather lethal!
Easy Up – The Wake Up Pill £6 for three capsules; Sibergin £15.50 for 30 Capsules

New: 3D Moisture Infusion by Sarah Chapman

At this point, I’m just taking a small break from all the new American products because I really need to tell you about this new incredible mask from Sarah Chapman. When we were playing around with the samples, we were all laughing because if we actually showed an image of the mask on a person, you would run a mile because the resemblance to Hannibal Lecter is rather too close for comfort, but don’t let that put you off, I strongly suggest you lock yourself away when you decide to use it, but you will emerge with a glow!

I will tell you right now that I’m addicted and this mask was initially developed for use in Sarah’s treatment rooms, but is now available for the first time in the Skinesis collection. The 3D Moisture Infusion bio-cellulose mask envelops the face like a second skin to instantly hydrate, soothe and plump. Bio-cellulose nano science ensures superior absorption of the Skinesis high performance serum as 3D Moisture Infusion is over 440 times finer than fabric masks, resulting in exceptional penetration of all the powerful active ingredients.

So what’s in it? A complex of low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid (hurray!) and Rose Water create a superior moisture bond to quench the skin with optimal hydration, improving moisture retention. A triple action multi-mineral energising complex of zinc, copper and magnesium combine with other active ingredients to help optimise cell respiration, offering protection from glycation and also helping to relieve the appearance of redness.

The mask has three layers, so you will need to remove the outer protective layers and then smooth the mask layer over the entire face. Carefully positioned slits in the mask allow a snug fit to all face shapes and unique eye flaps deliver a soothing eye treatment too. Just leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, but don’t throw it away before you massage the remaining serum into other areas of the skin. Waste not, want not and just remember to keep swallowing your HA capsules too – HA forever and ever. Amen.
3D Moisture Infusion £39 for a Pack of Four Masks (Get on the Wait List – Available in the Next Ten Days); Hyaluronic Acid High Strength £35 for 30 Capsules

New: Triple Allergy Defense

Many of you are avid users of Dr Nenningers Triple Flu Defense, a formulation that changes each year dependent upon the differing viruses existing at that time. Having just emerged from the cold and very wet winter months, we are heading into the warmer months and the hay fever season, so it is a great time to launch this new allergy remedy, which works really fast.

Of course spring is the season when people most think of allergies because of hay fever, but in reality it is a year round issue that changes by season. Spring allergies are commonly from tree pollen and grasses; summer allergies from grasses, moulds that arise due to heat and moisture and dust from air-conditioning. Autumn brings mould from leaves and rain and during the winter months closed indoor environments and heating systems aggravate dust allergies.

Triple Allergy Defense offers allergy relief for all seasons and this blend has been specifically formulated to provide optimum symptom relief from pollen, mould and dust allergies. It also offers multi-symptom relief for sneezing, runny nose, nasal and sinus congestion, cough, itchy and watery eyes, headache and fatigue.

You can take this remedy one to three times daily as needed and each adult dose is 20 drops; it is also suitable for children under 12 and the dose is two drops for every ten pounds of body weight, up to a maximum of 20 drops. Shabir is already getting the early signs of hay fever (typical!), so he has gone straight onto this. Good is what I think, no more ‘man moaning’ because this little gem really, really works and the feedback in America is completely brilliant.
Triple Allergy Defense £24 for 60 ml (120 Adult Doses)

New: Rapid Cooling Mist

So when an email lands in my inbox telling me that new technology (yes, more new technology!) can help ‘cure’ the dreaded hot flush, you have to bet that I will sit up and take notice. Whilst some of us sail calmly through the hormonal turmoil that accompanies perimenopause and menopause, most of us have to handle horrible hot flushes, insomnia-inducing night sweats and unexpected swings.

It is thought that three in every four women suffer from hot flushes, so here comes help in the shape of a new product that will help stop women feeling like radiators on overdrive!

Physicool (God Bless Them) have developed a clinically proven Cooling Mist, which offers instant long-lasting relief from hot flushes and night sweats. Using their unique rapid evaporation technology, the mist draws heat away from the skin, reducing skin temperature and calming redness. A consumer study revealed that 90% of menopausal women who used the Cooling Mist felt more comfortable, with 87% reporting that the cooling, calming effects lasted longer than an hour. The same number reported that, when compared with other products and treatments, Cooling Mist reduced their symptoms much faster than alternatives.

Just to give you a few more facts, a hot flush can raise your skin temperature by 6 degrees, lasting anything from a few seconds to ten minutes causing flushing of the face, neck and chest and excessive sweating. The number of hot flushes can vary from occasional to 15 or more a day, which is really not cute.

Deborah Bruce is a Consultant Gynaecologist at London Bridge Hospital and is on the council of the British Menopause Society. She states ‘Very few products can tackle hot flushes effectively, but I have to say that the Cooling Mist really works and I recommend it to all my clients. As soon as the mist hits their skin it begins to evaporate, drawing out the heat immediately and evaporating it away. This results in an instant cooling effect and also helps to alleviate redness’. Nothing to add from me, except to say start spraying girls and please remember to take Sage Complex, which really helps balance dancing hormones and all menopausal symptoms.
Rapid Cooling Mist £9.99 for 125 ml; Sage Complex £24.50 for 90 Capsules

New: Rapid Relief Cooling Spray

I was going to hold back launching the Rapid Relief Cooling Spray, which also has the same technology as above, but then it suddenly dawned on me that many of you will be heading for the sun during the Easter break, so this one’s for you.

There is a difference between the two sprays and the Rapid Relief Cooling Spray does all over the above, keeping you cool, but it is specifically formulated to help soothe the pain of insect bites and also helps ease and heal sunburn with the added ingredient of aloe vera to calm redness.

It is really important to remain hydrated and cool in the heat, so whilst it is a beach bag ‘must have’, it could come into its own if we have a hot summer here too. Both of these products have been formulated to be kind to your skin too and they contain glycerine, which has powerful moisturising qualities to help keep your skin soft and smooth. Perfect!
Rapid Relief Cooling Spray £9.99 for 125 ml

Choosing The Right Co-Enzyme Q10

Our goals in life differentiate, but one that most of us have in common is the desire to prolong and enjoy our lives as much as we can. There are many factors that affect the ageing process and obvious ones include poor diet and lifestyle choices. Most of us are aware of what we need to do to improve the quality of our lives, yet there appears to be a lack of information about one particular nutrient, Co-Enzyme Q10 and it’s positive effect on health.

Co-Enzyme Q10 is important for the optimal function of the body on a daily basis; known as ‘ubiquinone’ because it is ubiquitous in the human body, Co-Enzyme Q10 is required by every single cell in our bodies. One of the most important benefits of Co-Enzyme Q10 is its ability to enhance energy production. It is utilised by each cell to make an energy molecule, known as ATP, and it helps cells to take up fats and other nutrients, converting them into usable energy.

Co-Enzyme Q10 is also a very powerful antioxidant, is often recommended for heart conditions such as high blood pressure as it helps protect the heart against free radical damage, whilst helping to oxygenate the heart muscle tissue. It has been shown to help mental alertness and there are many cited studies on the additional benefits of Co-Enzyme Q10, including helping to prevent gum disease, supporting the immune system and aiding weight loss by helping to improve metabolism.

In his article on this nutrient, Shabir takes an in-depth look at Co-Enzyme Q10 and recommends Super Ubiquinol Co-enzyme Q10, which is available in two strengths, 50 mg and 100 mg.  The lower strength is recommended for general protection, whilst the higher strength provides additional protection for the cardiovascular system.
VH Editorial: Choosing The Right Co-Enzyme Q10Super Ubiquinol Co-Enzyme Q10 (50 mg) £20.75 for 30 Softgels; Super Ubiquinol Co-Enzyme Q10 Super Strength (100 mg) £42 for 60 Softgels

Phylia de M

Many of you may have already read about this because I released this on the Addicts Bulletin, splashed it right across Breaking News on the front of our site and then had a banner created in celebration. And how we are celebrating! Re-Connect by Phylia has just won The Best Hair Treatment for 2014 in The Tatler Beauty Awards. Thank you so much to all the Tatler girls who love, adore and use Phylia. Not a lot could make me happier because I can now say that Phylia is a multi-award winning brand, and this is what Tatler said:

‘Sometimes a product launches that blows all others out of the water. That product is Phylia de M Re-Connect. A hair-strengthening, follicle-boosting, growth-encouraging serum that you spray straight onto the scalp. Needs to be spritzed to be believed’.

As you may have guessed, Kazu and I were dancing around with excitement in LA as we honoured (with a glass of pink champagne) the staggering research and development carried out by her godfather, Dr Miyayama, over the past 30 years. Our thanks must also go to each of you who have continued to support Phylia de M. I could publish a book containing all the emails and testimonials we have received on this phenomenal brand, and this most recent email would certainly be included:

‘I promised to give you an update on how I am getting on with Phylia. As I have previously told you, within three months of using the products, every hairdresser who does my hair has noticed a substantial increase in the thickness of my hair, and so have I. The crowning glory is that Phylia has achieved what nothing else has achieved in many years. My hair is cut into a bob and for some reason the hair on the right was (note ‘was’) much thinner than the hair on the left, which made the right side always look shorter. I can barely believe it, but the right has now caught up with the left and I am utterly thrilled about it.
Clean £28; Condition £30; Connect £45; Re-Connect £60; The Three Step Kit £103; The Four Step Kit £163; Phylia Complete £323

Soapsmith

We launched Soapsmith on the March newsletter and you may have read how much I love Bloomsbury Bath Soak. Samantha Jameson is the creator of Soapsmith and this month I go face to face with Samantha, so do take the time to discover how Soapsmith was created and what inspires her – a girl on a mission! I’m now going to abdicate the next section to the Beauty Bible girls who had this to say:
VH Editorial: Gill meets Samantha Jameson

‘Bliss, bliss and double bliss. Truly, that’s the only way we can communicate the delectableness of these bath soaks, which are made by a small, hand-crafted beauty brand we’ve just been introduced to. Soapsmith takes the names of its fragrances from areas of London – think Brick Lane, which is all peppery, ambery and sandalwood-y, or invigorating Limehouse, with its kick of lime, lemongrass and litsea cubeba, while Camden Town is coconut, bergamot and a whisper or musk.

There are nine scents altogether and we’re very keen on the whole range – the Body Butter Melts are luscious, but the sense-delighting bath treat is really something. The Bloomsbury Bath Soak (as trialled by Jo) has the most perfect, dewy, tea rose fragrance; it’s what bathing in roses really ought to be like. There are a few real rose petals in there, but not enough to make it a hassle to clean the bath afterwards.

Amy wallowed in the Lavender Hill: relaxing and rebalancing, again with teeny particles of lavender. The fragrances fill the whole bathroom with but one scoop tossed under running water, making the soaks rather a good deal compared to those which require half a tub to be poured in, in order to get any effect. Skin-silkifying too. Maybe make that triple-bliss then?’

Treat: No need to add anything to the above except to say that if you buy any two Soapsmith products, we will automatically send you a one bath size of Bloomsbury Bath Soak, although you could stretch it to two baths because it is very potent. We only have a limited quantity, so you need to be pretty fast because I can’t get any more for about three months!

News and Feedback

Sheald Recovery Balm: More big celebrations with my LA boyfriends as I discover that Sheald has gone completely wild over the other side of the pond. I’m not surprised, it has gone pretty crazy here too because this product can be used to heal open wounds and that’s a big thing. iS Clinical, setting the trends with gold-standard products – wonderful!
Sheald Recovery Balm £43 for 60 ml

The Tweezy: One of our bestselling products from the March newsletter, we all love The Tweezy and when Sarah Vine wrote this in the Daily Mail, I thought our website would collapse, but thankfully it didn’t:

‘For brows and facial hair, salon threading has been a revolution, but unless you know what you’re doing, I wouldn’t recommend trying to shape your own eyebrows. There is, though, a brilliant new way of removing unwanted facial hair at home: The Tweezy. This canny little device consists of a metal spring and a rubber grip handle so you can just twist off excess hair from the root – like threading. It’s incredibly effective and simple to use, and will save you a fortune in waxing’.
The Tweezy £10

Symprove: From a VH Addict: ‘A big thank you for introducing us to Symprove. I first suggested it to my Mum as she suffers from diverticulitis and on the back of her positive reaction I started taking it, the result being that I now rarely suffer from bloating and have dropped an inch off my waist’. Symprove, rather brilliant for supporting gut health.
Symprove £21.95 for 500 ml

Skin Restoring Phytoceramides: If you follow this newsletter, you will know that Skin Restoring Phytoceramides is one of my must-take supplements as it makes such a vast difference to the hydration of my skin, most especially on my legs, so I was overjoyed to receive this email:

‘I have been taking Skin Restoring Phytoceramides for some time now and I am thrilled to say that my eczema, suffered from childhood, has now vanished.’

I am also prone to eczema, but I haven’t had one attack since I started taking this supplement a few years ago; just thought I would throw that in.
Skin Restoring Phytoceramides £25 for 30 Liquid Capsules

The Dermasuri: Residing in some of the best spas in LA, seen with my own eyes, the praise for The Dermasuri just goes on and on. This from a customer: ‘My Dermasuri – magic, it worked where nothing else did on my dry legs’. Rock and roll!
The Dermasuri £19.95

In other news, Lingonberry Extract is still trending heavily both here and in America and there has been a famine, so I’m really sorry if you were on a wait list, but thankfully it is now back in stock. A fabulous response to Sarah Chapman’s Body Lift, toning up thighs (and other bits) everywhere!
Lingonberry Extract £12 for 60 Capsules; The Body Lift £28

A bit of a limited treat here, the first 50 people to buy Brow Boost by Billion Dollar Brows will receive the Universal Brow Pencil, which is worth £17. Please note that this will not show up on your invoice, but will automatically be included with your order. *** Sorry, this promotion has now ended.

Restoration Body Serum: We launched Annee de Mamiel’s fabulous Botaniques skincare products a couple of months ago, the feedback has been fabulous and now I am going to tell you about the latest product to be launched in the range, Restoration Body Serum. Described by Annee as ‘the ultimate skin food’, this ultra-nourishing serum is bursting with essential fatty acid-rich oils of sea buckthorn , kukui and carnellia. The gorgeous scent helps energise the mind, helps dispel lethargy and is ideal to use when you need to feel calm – that would be all the time then!
Restoration Body Serum by Botaniques £46 for 100 ml

Save The Blow Dry: I wrote about the ‘Queen of shower caps’ last year and just to say that a new design has been released in turquoise. To celebrate the launch of this new design, this has an introductory launch price of £9.95 (normally £14.95), so if you want one, get in there because this is a limited time offer.
Save The Blow Dry in Turquoise £9.95

The Retractable Kabuki Brush £11.99; The Retractable Bronzer Brush £12.99; The Retractable Lip Brush £6.99

Renouve: Still completely in love with this product; Renouve, is the world’s first anti-ageing hand sanitizing lotion made with collagen stimulating peptides. The skin on our hands is fragile and the first to show signs of ageing. Renouve was born out of a desire for a hand lotion that eliminates germs and maintains youthful skin. We have had a lot of feedback saying that over time, age spots have disappeared too. Wonderful!
Renouve £22

Derma E Facial Wipes: Two new releases from Derma E, the Hydrating Facial Wipes and the Very Clear Oil Free Acne Wipes; 25 wipes in each packet and they are of course great to take away with you if you are travelling.
Hydrating Facial Wipes £9; Very Clear Oil Free Acne Wipes £9

Atlantic Seaweed Bath: One of those iconic VH products that I keep forgetting about, but when I remember, I load several packets into my bag and bring them home because this is still one of my all-time favourite therapeutic baths. Recommended for helping to alleviate dry skin, relieving aches and pains and for aiding body detoxification, it’s really quite brilliant.
Atlantic Seaweed Bath £10.50

Finally, together with Shabir, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continuing support and loyalty. We are pretty loaded this month with new products, but that’s the way we like it because each of the products I have written about will help make a positive difference to your lives, which is of course so important.

I hope you have a fabulous April and that the sun shines on all of us.

With love
