Athlete's Foot

Athlete’s foot, or tinea pedis, is a contagious fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet particularly the warm, moist areas between the toes. The fungi live off the dead skin cells of the feet causing inflammation, burning, scaling, cracking and blistering.

Athlete’s foot is a common skin complaint which can be managed at home with the use of an athlete’s foot cream preferably alongside an antifungal powder to keep the skin dry in between the toes.
