Hungarymud

Hungarymud comes from an alluvial plain in rural Hungary where it's been excavated in the same manner since the 1890s. It was discovered when local farmers noticed how their animals were more fertile than their neighbours. This led them to investigate the secrets of their healthy livestock! They invited government health ministers to evaluate their water and earth that were deemed so therapeutic that authorities dug a well, a bore hole and built a spa and people flocked to the area for the 'cure'. Today only the remnants of one bath remains in the forest.

However, to this day, the mud treats more than 1,000 patients a week - who suffer from inflammatory conditions - in Budapest's glamorous city spas.

A real heritage product with a therapeutic lineage.
