This 99.9% organic topical oil blend is formulated without synthetic fragrances or colourings.  It is a delicate, nourishing, easily-absorbed skin therapy oil to help with the appearance of stretch marks and uneven skin tone.

Ultimate Beauty Skin Repair Oil contains:

  • Organic Sunflower Oil - Sunflower oil is a rich source of oleic acid with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E. Vitamin E is a major anti-oxidant that helps to bring nourishment to skin cells. Sunflower oil forms a protective layer on the skin to prevent loss of moisture.
  • Organic Borage Oil - A natural oil that can restore moisture and smoothness to dry and damaged skin, but can also provide relief to people who suffer from inflammatory skin disorders. Borage oil has a moisture retaining effect, preventing drying of the skin, and increases the cell’s ability to absorb oxygen and to withstand disease.
  • Organic Rosehip Oil -  Rose-hip oil is renowned for its skin-nourishing properties, being incredibly rich in linoleic and linolenic essential fatty acids which have been found to help in the regeneration and repair of skin tissue. It is suitable for face and body where the skin is dry, sensitive, mature or weathered. Rosehip oil absorbs instantly, allowing the skin to breathe while it goes to work to prevent the signs of premature ageing and assisting skin growth and repair. Rosehip Oil contains natural tretinoin (also known as Retinoic acid), a derivative of Vitamin A, which is proven to delay the effects of skin aging and help address hyperpigmentation.
  • Organic Jojoba Oil - Jojoba Oil's structure closely resembles that of the skin's sebum, making it an excellent moisturiser and is ideal for all skin types including acne-prone skin.
  • Organic Wheatgerm Oil - Wheatgerm oil is very high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids and because of its high vitamin E content, which is a natural antioxidant. When applied topically on to the skin it helps promote the formation of new cells, improve circulation, and to help repair sun damage to the skin.
  • Organic Calendula Oil - Calendula massage oil has great healing, soothing and softening qualities which is of benefit with sore, inflamed and itchy skin conditions including burns, nappy rash, cracked nipples and dermatitis.
  • Lavender Essential Oil - Lavender is well known for its wound healing, cleansing and toning properties and removes redness and heat from the skin, making Lavender oil a suitable addition to any skin care preparation and for any skin type. Lavender has been shown to be very useful in the relief of burns in which case it can be applied neat to the area.

Ultimate Beauty Skin Repair Oil can be used safely for topical use throughout pregnancy and lactation. This may be particularly helpful for breast irritation or for stretch marks.

Directions: Apply generously to skin and rub into affected area twice daily.

My Stay-Slim Secrets

A couple of months ago, I shared with VH readers some of the tips I’ve gleaned over the years for not piling on the pounds: what I eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. (Click here to read it). But I’ve also picked up many other tips for resisting temptation and ensuring I eat healthily, even when I’m touring or away on business. I hope – as the bikini season approaches rather scarily fast, and we all start to think about our bodies! – that you might find these useful, too... read more

Finding My Sanctuary

If you are a dynamic person, who treats life as a race, there is sanctuary to be found in the gym. Especially if you are of a certain age. For someone who has long regarded fitness as something that needed to be achieved in record time in order to shed weight (invariably in record time too), it’s liberating to discover that, at a certain point in life, there is more to be gained in challenging your body in kinder, more compassionate ways...read more

Yoga For Life

I am a yoga bunny from way back. (You were more likely to find 12-year-old me attempting Tree pose in my bedroom with a copy of Teach Yourself Yoga at homework time than revising logarithms, that’s for sure.) Over the years since then, the one nugget of anti-ageing advice that I give out to everyone – aside from recommending eight glasses of water a day and plenty of omega 3s – is to take up yoga. And in the hope of making yoga a little more accessible for people...read more

Lanolips

Lanolips™ is the result of eight years work, a lifetime of preparation. And more than a millennia of market testing. I own a lovely vintage book called ‘The Lanolin Book’, published by Beiersdorf who created mega-brand ‘NIVEA’, which used to contain lots of lanolin. One of my favourite passages is this: ‘Everyone who has seen the 2,500 year old Paczyryk carpet in the St. Petersburg Hermitage will have noticed not only the fine knots, but also the unusual radiance,... read more

Tips For Trips

Over the years of Beauty Bible, we’ve done a fair bit of travelling: Jo has countless relations in the States and Oz and now even Sarah (who once upon a time only went as far as a horse, car or train could take her) has been to Australia twice! (Her about-to-be-husband has a home in Fremantle.)Our mission, however – whether it’s a short train hop from Hastings to Charing Cross or a major trans-Continental flight across...read more

Spring

After a winter rest, the power of springtime surges through nature and through us. Ancient Chinese believed that we should live in harmony with the natural cycles of our environment and recognize the naturally occurring ebb and flow of energy reflected in our bodies. de Mamiel Spring Facial Oil is blended to work in synergy with these changes and put back what nature takes out at a time when it is needed. Spring is the perfect time to... read more
