Exotic Coconut Exfoliating Cleaner - The Ultimate Pre-Tan Exfoliate

Made using a special blend of the finest ingredients and natural exfoliators including Ground Walnut Husks, Famous Dave's Body Buffer works by gently smoothing your skin's surface. Body Buffer exfoliates your skin gently, helping to release dead cell build-up and pore-blocking impurities, giving your skin the perfect preparation it needs for self tanning.

Famous Dave's Body Buffer has been formulated to work great with all skin types and can be used every day on your face and body to help ensure your tan wears evenly and naturally. Exfoliating prior to tanning is the perfect way to ensure your self tan lasts longer - by exfoliating thoroughly prior to tanning you are ensuring that the tanner is going onto a fresh new layer of skin, this means your tanner will apply more evenly & smoothly. It also helps to ensure that your tan fades evenly too as your skin naturally renews itself.

Famous Dave's Body Buffer:
Works great in conjunction with all of Famous Dave's Self Tanners!
Your tan will last 30-50% longer because you are tanning new skin, not dead skin
Exfoliating prior to tanning your skin leaving it smooth and polished
Scrubs away dirt, make-up, oil, & flaky dry or dead skin with its beaded micro-scrubbers
May also help to even out skin tones and refreshes your senses with the exotic coconut fragrance.
Keeps skin soft and clean - no dehydrating or stripping effects, does not clog pores.
Keeps your existing tan looking even and polished!

Directions: Use Body Buffer in the shower prior to self tanning. Work the gritty exfoliating body scrub onto the skin using circular motions to help remove any dead skin cells and reveal a fresh new smooth layer of skin. Start at the ankles and work your way up the body. If your skin is very sensitive, use as little friction as possible. Pay particular attention to areas with harder skin, such as elbows, knees and ankles.

The Glam Guide to Spring

I always feel a bit penned in towards the end of March. Spring hasn’t quite arrived on our doorsteps and, feeling cooped up after what seems like months of snow, sleet and rain, I like to make a list of all the places I’ll visit when the sun comes out. A Little Glamorous Black Book of places to... read more

Summer Legs

Ah, summer days. How gloriously sun-drenched. How carefree. Carefree, that is, unless you have ‘leg issues’. From late September through till mid-spring, of course, anyone who feels theirs are less-than-show-offable can retreat into opaque tights, and nobody’s any the wiser. But come shorter hemlines and days when even 10 deniers... read more

Stress and Injury

There can be no doubt that the positives of an active lifestyle far outweigh any negatives, but unfortunately with any training and exercise comes a risk of injury. We’ve written articles in the past on combating low energy and motivation levels but there is surely no obstacle more frustrating than injury. There is never a good time to pick up an injury, but more often than not... read more

Common Foot Complaints

You would be utterly surprised at the number of "everyday" skin conditions which can affect the skin and nails of the feet and with this in mind I have been working on the formulation of a new Hygiene Cream for feet to address many of these everyday conditions. The hygiene cream launch coincides with the celebration by Margaret Dabbs Clinics of ‘World Foot Health Awareness Month’ in May and is a must-have in any bathroom cabinet... read more

Tomato Beauty

In the 16th Century, tomatoes were given the name ‘love apples’. The story goes that the Spanish conquistadors, returning home from Peru, brought with them a new and delicious plant from which could be harvested the most luscious, juicy, vibrantly coloured fruit. Some Europeans thought it poisonous. (It is, after all, a member of the... read more

Free Your Breath

Through all the years I’ve been trying to stay healthy by eating well, exercising, taking vitamins, attempting to meditate, it’s only now I really understand that breathing properly is the simplest trick most of us miss in the equation. We can be forgiven of course, as it’s something we all do automatically - approximately 12-18 times a minute of every day. We don’t have to give it a second... read more

Gill meets Margaret Dabbs

What was the inspiration that drove you to launch Margaret Dabbs, London? I was working as a Podiatrist in my own Clinic in Central London and I felt the need to treat feet the way I wanted mine to be treated. I wanted them to feel good, but also to look good, and I set about creating treatments that did just that! It really wasn’t... read more
