Bio-Glucosamine + MSM cream contains cartilage maintaining nutrients, and is formulated to help soothe aching
joints and maintain normal joint mobility. Bio-Glucosamine +MSM cream contains two main ingredients,
glucosamine (sulphate form) and MSM (methylsulphonylmethane).
Glucosamine is a naturally occurring sugar-related nutrient, which is important in normal joint function.
Glucosamine is produced within the body; however as people age the capacity to manufacture sufficient levels of
glucosamine is reduced. Supplements are the best source of additional glucosamine, since there are no accessible
food sources of this substance. Commercially available glucosamine supplements are derived from the shells of
shrimps, crabs or oysters.
MSM is a natural compound containing sulphur (required by the body for normal growth and development). MSM
is required for the normal formation of bone and collagen in connective tissues, and for healthy skin, hair and nails.
This product also contains menthol and Japanese mint (Mentha arvensis) to help provide immediate analgesic
activity, together with herbal extracts of Butcher’s broom (Ruscus aculeatus) and Hawaiian white ginger
(Hedychium coronarium) to promote healthyblood circulation.

Glucosamine is used within the body to form more complex molecules, which are necessary for the maintenance
and repair of cartilage and other connective tissues (ligaments, tendons) in joints. Damage to these components
typically results in back pain, osteo-(wear and tear) arthritis, and rheumatoid-(inflammatory) arthritis. Glucosamine
also promotes a healthy lining to the digestive tract. Of the various forms in which glucosamine may be available,
glucosamine sulphate is the most readily absorbed (>90%) from the digestive tract, and the most readily
incorporated into joint tissues. MSM helps to maintain normal flexibility of joints and arteries. MSM also increases
transdermal (skin) absorption of glucosamine.

Dosage:

The cream should be applied generously to painful joints 2-3 times per day, via gentle massage until the cream is
absorbed. It is recommended to clean, rinse and dry skin prior to application.

There are no known side effects, contra-indications or drug interactions for Bio-Glucosamine + MSM cream, with the exception of shellfish allergy. As the glucosamine used in this product is obtained from shellfish, individuals with shellfish allergy may suffer an allergic reaction in most cases however, allergies are caused by shellfish proteins, rather than the chitin carbohydrates from which glucosamine is extracted.

The Glam Guide to Spring

I always feel a bit penned in towards the end of March. Spring hasn’t quite arrived on our doorsteps and, feeling cooped up after what seems like months of snow, sleet and rain, I like to make a list of all the places I’ll visit when the sun comes out. A Little Glamorous Black Book of places to... read more

Summer Legs

Ah, summer days. How gloriously sun-drenched. How carefree. Carefree, that is, unless you have ‘leg issues’. From late September through till mid-spring, of course, anyone who feels theirs are less-than-show-offable can retreat into opaque tights, and nobody’s any the wiser. But come shorter hemlines and days when even 10 deniers... read more

Stress and Injury

There can be no doubt that the positives of an active lifestyle far outweigh any negatives, but unfortunately with any training and exercise comes a risk of injury. Common Foot Complaints

You would be utterly surprised at the number of "everyday" skin conditions which can affect the skin and nails of the feet and with this in mind I have been working on the formulation of a new Hygiene Cream for feet to address many of these everyday conditions. Tomato Beauty

In the 16th Century, tomatoes were given the name ‘love apples’. The story goes that the Spanish conquistadors, returning home from Peru, brought with them a new and delicious plant from which could be harvested the most luscious, juicy, vibrantly coloured fruit. Some Europeans thought it poisonous. (It is, after all, a member of the... read more

Free Your Breath

Through all the years I’ve been trying to stay healthy by eating well, exercising, taking vitamins, attempting to meditate, it’s only now I really understand that breathing properly is the simplest trick most of us miss in the equation. Gill meets Margaret Dabbs

What was the inspiration that drove you to launch Margaret Dabbs, London? I was working as a Podiatrist in my own Clinic in Central London and I felt the need to treat feet the way I wanted mine to be treated. I wanted them to feel good, but also to look good, and I set about creating treatments that did just that! It really wasn’t... read more
