September Newsletter

498914_18476296

Welcome to the September newsletter where I write about a global exclusive pre-launch from NUDE Skincare, we take a look at why Coconut Oil is trending, we welcome back a product that died, but got itself resurrected and one year after its debut in America, we are finally catching up as we launch the long-awaited Yes to Blueberries in the UK. Additionally, I write about bloating, oral health and the supplement we all need for skin transformation. We get up to speed with our editorial contributors, I put Shabir on ‘The Podium’ (ha, just you wait Shabir!) and I bring you all the latest news, including ‘a happening’ that you will not want to miss, but first a couple of announcements.

To be voted by more than 50 of your peers as being a ‘Positive Beauty Icon’ is quite an extraordinary accolade, and so many, many congratulations to Jo Fairley for winning this award in the October edition of Psychologies Magazine. Jo embodies all that is good in this world, her inspiration is contagious and I’m so proud to have her as my friend and a much valued member of the VH editorial team. Jo, we applaud you and just to be neat, this month Jo writes about herbal beauty, which is completely fascinating.
Herbal Beauty by Jo Fairley

The second announcement is that we have won an award too! The Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Hot 100 is a prestigious event in the beauty calendar and the competition is pretty tough, so Shabir and I were so thrilled to be included again. This year we have won ‘Best for Supplements and Service’, which means so much to both of us. It underlines all that I’ve been writing about over the years; if you are going to take supplements, then they have to be the very best in their field and so I thank Newby Hands and Katy Young of Harper’s Bazaar for their continual support and recognition.
The Global Exclusive Pre-Launch of NUDE Skincare’s Advanced Cellular Renewal Moisturiser

There is nothing I like better than a piece of breaking headline news, so when NUDE Skincare told me that we could have the global exclusive pre-launch of their amazing new product, Advanced Cellular Renewal Moisturiser (ACRM), I was almost sick with excitement! The NUDE Skincare journey on VH has been pretty phenomenal and it all started with the news that the exquisite Replenishing Night Oil achieved the highest ever score in 15 years of Beauty Bible testing, but that was just the beginning.

Result driven skincare is paramount and if I am going to be perfectly honest, I didn’t really expect to be so blown away to such an extent by this range, but I am. When I first started the use the Advanced Cellular Renewal Serum, I actually thought I was hallucinating, because the difference it made to my skin was quite incredible. And then I was given a sample of ACRM, which has been specifically formulated to use in conjunction with the Serum, but can also be used as a stand-alone.

I’m going to begin by telling you about ACRM and then I am going to give you the feedback from ten of our customers, who participated in a pre-launch trial of ACRM. All ten customers were already using the Advanced Cellular Renewal Serum, so the results are based on using the two products together for seven days. There are several reasons why this trial was so important to me, but fundamentally I wanted to ensure that I was giving you honest feedback from a cross-section of our customers. Let’s go:

NUDE’s Advanced Cellular Renewal Moisturiser has been formulated to correct the signs of ageing and builds on NUDE’s Advanced Cellular Renewal Technology, promoting firm, smooth luminous skin. It combines four high performance biocompatible technologies including Advanced Probiotic Technology, Bioactive Peptides, a Complete Hyaluronic Acid System (hurray!) and Chinese Immortal Grass Complex.

Chinese Immortal Grass Complex helps to bring skin back to life with quite astonishing firmness, elasticity and hydration and is revered in Chinese and Japanese traditional medicine for its remarkable anti-ageing properties. In the mountainous Guangxi and Sichuan provinces of Southern China, locals drink tea made with the miracle herb and these communities are notable for exceptional numbers of the population living to over 100 years old. Whilst there is of course a lot of science and clinicals associated with ACRM, I’m not going to write about it here, but will cut to the chase and bullet point below comments from our testers:

I was not expecting to be bowled over by the effects of this moisturiser in a matter of days; my skin is definitely smoother and is very noticeable on my neck; already impressed by the serum, adding the moisturiser has literally doubled the effect; my love affair with NUDE seems to be continuing; day four – significant reductions in fine vertical cheek lines; day six – open pores seem slightly reduced; if I was testing for Beauty Bible, I would definitely give it 10; my skin just feels great; the delicate aroma is delicious; it is a joy to both the skin and the senses; my forehead ‘11’ lines and décolleté are definitely better; lines around my jaw line look softer.

So to wrap, one of our testers commented that after four days she didn’t think that the product was working for her, but then on the fifth day, her skin started to transform and her lines were less evident, and only one out of the ten testers gave a negative comment, but that was because her skin preferred NUDE’s Age Defence Moisturiser. Now you need to read the next part carefully:

When NUDE’s Advanced Cellular Renewal Serum debuted in 2010, it sold out worldwide within seven days and there was a long, long wait list. Given that piece of information, there is no way that VH customers are getting on any wait list after the global launch unless something goes very wrong and I end up eating humble pie! ACRM will be released on 18 October and right from this moment you can pre-order and know that you will be the first in the world to receive it. Now just a couple of things to add; in line with company policy we will not debit your card until the day we process and send your order; if you are not already using the Serum, then I would start right now so that by the time ACRM is launched your skin is well and truly primed for spectacular results and if you not taking Hyaluronic Acid (HA) orally, then this would be an excellent time to start because quite honestly I think my skin would collapse without it!
Advanced Cellular Renewal Moisturiser £78 for 50 ml (Pre-Order only); Advanced Cellular Renewal Serum £68 for 30 ml; Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength £35 for 30 Capsules

Coconut Oil

It’s all over the news with headlines like ‘beauty’s next big thing’ and it would appear that all things coconut are having one of those moments, but does coconut oil live up to the hype? The short answer is yes it does, but as ever all coconut oils are not created equally and there is a big difference between ‘pure’ coconut oil and ‘organic’ coconut oil. We recommend using organic raw coconut oil, because the pure variety doesn’t cut it with us and after I have written about the benefits, there is a treat at the end of the section, so make sure you read it properly!

Coconut Oil is one of the healthiest and most versatile unprocessed dietary oils in the world. Once considered to be a ‘bad’ fat, coconut oil has now been proven to be a stable, healthy saturated fat that can help maintain proper cholesterol levels, support thyroid function, ease digestive disorder symptoms and increase immunity. Additionally it aids weight loss and improves the ability of our body to absorb minerals, including calcium and magnesium. All you need is a couple of teaspoons a day, so you can take it neat or add it to smoothies, salads or any other food or drink.

Topically, Coconut Oil can be used as a body moisturiser as it is ideal for the relief of dry, rough skin and can be rubbed into your hands and feet to help nourish and ease dryness. It can also help to calm inflammatory skin conditions, but my favourite beauty tip for Coconut Oil is to use it as a hair mask. Its nutritional qualities encourage healthy hair growth and used once a week, it helps keep hair glossy and gorgeous.

Treat: We recommend Viridian’s 100% Organic Raw Coconut and for the whole of September, if you buy a 500g pot, we will send you the travel size of 100% Organic Raw Coconut (worth £3.95) as a gift. Personally I would immediately use the travel size on my hair, but if you are going away, take it with you because it’s a brilliant after-sun treatment too and it smells like ‘Bounty’, which in my book is a very good thing. Love Bounty!
100% Organic Raw Coconut Oil by Viridian £14 for 500g; Travel Size 25g for £3.95

My Supplement of the Month

It was a torrid August. I developed another one of my infamous allergies when testing a product (more on that later) and ended up in A&E with an oxygen mask and a drip; two of my computers exploded simultaneously and I had an emergency tooth extraction, the upshot of which I was put on antibiotics, which made me so violently sick, I thought I was about to die. At the same time, a close friend developed food poisoning and so I sent her 10 Day Back on Tract.

Travel, illness, food poisoning and a variety of other possibilities can cause short and long-term stomach discomfort, so when your digestive system needs fast help and quick results, 10 Day Back on Tract is the answer. It combines specific prebiotics, probiotics, soothing herbs and digestive enzymes to help ease stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, gassiness, bloating and indigestion. When these situations arise, the recommended dosage is two capsules, three times daily for ten days and it really, really works. This supplement can also be used on a one capsule daily basis for digestive orders and having worked extraordinarily efficiently for my friend with food poisoning, she went on to say that she has suffered for years with an acidic bloating feeling, but 10 Day Back on Tract completely wiped those feelings and she is now on the maintenance dose, with no more bloating.

Just to end this section, whilst I completely endorse integrated medicine, I just can’t seem to tolerate antibiotics, so they ended up in the bin and I needed to clear them out of my system as fast as I could, so I took Back on Tract. It took 48 hours for the sickness to subside, but because they have saved two of us in one month, I hereby declare 10 Day Back on Tract a hero and it wins the title, supplement of the month.
10 Day Back on Tract £27.50 for 60 Capsules

BlocPain Spray – Extra Strength

Once upon a time we had a product called Stopain. It was an American product, everybody who used it loved it, it was one of our bestselling products and then the manufacturers decided to stop distribution out of the US. Then along came LifeTime Vitamins with BlocPain, so this is the resurrected extra strength pain reliever that works quickly to provide fast, temporary relief of everyday arthritis, muscle and back pain. It offers the proven pain-relieving benefits of Boswellia, Menthol, MSM and Glucosamine and it is a clear, non-staining, non-greasy spray. All you need to do is spray it on the affected area without the need to rub, massage or bandage and it can be used up to four times daily. Brilliant stuff!
BlocPain Spray – Extra Strength by LifeTime Vitamins £11.95 for 118 ml

The Happening

This is probably the most bonkers piece of information I have ever included in a newsletter and it will only become clear in the fullness of time. As most of you are aware, each Wednesday, with the exception of the week I send out the monthly newsletter, we release ‘60 Seconds with Gill’, which you receive if you subscribe to this newsletter. If you click here, you can see some recent examples, but please don’t try entering any of the codes because most weeks the gifts go within an hour of release.

At some point during September, I will be releasing a one-off ‘120 Seconds with Gill’. Now the reason it is 120 Seconds is that I am going to make a massively big announcement on there and I think it is something that most of you are going to get really excited about. One very lucky VH-er is going to experience something that they will probably never forget and all I will say at this moment is that the information is heavily embargoed, the girls in the office don’t even know what it is and I will send out the bulletin and simultaneously post it on Facebook, so if you are not already following us on Facebook, it might just be a good idea to do so sooner rather than later! It would be so tragic to miss it!

Yes to Blueberries

It seems really strange to be writing about a skincare brand other than NUDE because as those of you who read this newsletter on a monthly basis will know, I have been singing the praises of NUDE for several months now. However, having said that there are of course other fabulous skincare brands on the market and we are all different. Priorities for skincare depend on many factors, cost being a major consideration and so it is with the greatest pleasure that we say YES to younger looking skin as we introduce the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh collection to the UK.

Clinically proven to help keep you looking as young as you feel, Yes to Blueberries combines a blend of antioxidant-rich fruits with special active ingredients to help fight the signs of ageing. The youth enhancing recipe combines Blueberries with Paracress Flower and Cotton Thistle to help reduce fine lines, promote collagen production and improve skin elasticity. Five products are being launched in the UK as follows:

Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser: Wash that dirt right off your face! Formulated with Apple, rich in powerful Polyphenol antioxidants and natural AHA’s, this cleanser helps to brighten and refresh the skin’s surface and contains Lemon Peel to sweep away dirt, ensuring your skin is fresh as a daisy!
Yes to Blueberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser £12.99 for 127g

Yes to Blueberries Intensive Firming Repair Moisturiser: A fast worker. Clinically proven to significantly improve skin elasticity, it helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improves skin smoothness. Organic Cotton Thistle hydrates age-damaged skin and helps boost natural collagen production and skin rejuvenation. Added to the mix is the wonderfully soothing Aloe Vera and Olive Fruit Oil, which regenerates skin cells and helps repair the skin barrier function.
Yes to Blueberries Intensive Firming Repair Moisturiser £19.99 for 50 ml

Yes to Blueberries Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Repair Serum: I am a big fan of serums and the Blueberry serum helps significantly reduce wrinkles and improve the skins smoothness. This serum is blended with Organic Cotton Thistle for rehydration, Blackcurrant to help nourish the skin and Apple to help brighten the skin. Actually sounds good enough to eat!
Yes to Blueberries Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Repair Serum £24.99 for 30 ml

Yes to Blueberries Intensive Firming Eye Repair Cream: Formulated to improve skin elasticity in the eye area, this cream has been formulated with Paracress Flower, which helps firm the delicate skin around the eye, Beeswax to help promote the retention of moisture and Olive Fruit Oil, rich in Oleic Acid to help regenerate skin cells and attract moisture to the skin.
Yes to Blueberries Intensive Firming Eye Repair Cream: £19.99 for 15 ml

Yes to Blueberries Intensive Moisturising Night Repair Cream: This works while you sleep! Shea Butter hydrates, Noni Fruit soothes, calms and protects, Sunflower Seed Oil helps retain moisture and of course then there are the Blueberries, which are rich in antioxidants and help fight the formation of free radicals that can damage the skins microstructure.
Yes to Blueberries Intensive Moisturising Night Repair Cream £19.99 for 50 ml

Take Three Products

I blame Facebook for this new addition to the newsletter! A couple of weeks ago I was having a conversation on Facebook with one of the VH Addicts who regularly posts comments on some of our products. Suddenly, I had a flash of inspiration and decided that if I asked one of you to write about three of your most favourite products each month, then I would have less to write and could put my feet up whilst giving you the platform. So we are kicking off with the very wonderful Claire Gardner, who gets this new initiative underway and shares her thoughts with each of you:

‘I love a challenge, I really do! So when Gill asked me to be the first customer to contribute to the newsletter my immediate reaction was ‘bring it on’! Little did I realise how hard it would be to answer the question, which three products would you hate to be without? This has been the source of much deliberation over the last few days and a glance at my rather extensive collection of VH products didn’t really help matters. So, I decided to ask myself, which products have made me email or contact Gill in an instant, jumping with excitement? There have been many, but the most memorable are the following three:

Yes To Carrots Pampering Hand & Nail Spa: This is a true OMG product! I remember the first time Gill wrote about it, I remember the first time I used it and I remember the reaction it gets from everyone I have ever marched to my sink and made them try it! Nothing comes close to giving you silky, soft hands and beautifully clean nails. I would never be without a pot of this amazing stuff in my cupboard!
Yes to Carrots Pampering Hand & Nail Spa £13.40 for 250 ml

Maui Babe Browning Lotion: I have absolutely no idea how this works, it’s not a self-tanner or a stain, yet it turns you brown almost instantly. The first time I tried it was in France a few years ago. After one day of not particularly intensive sun-bathing (low boredom threshold!) I looked like I’d been there for at least a week. Most noticeable was the effect on my lower legs which always seemed to take ages to get some colour. If you have never tried it, you really should – I’d never go on holiday without it.
Maui Babe Browning Lotion £23 for 236 ml

Replenishing Night Oil: Epic!!! The morning after I used this for the first time my partner looked at me and said, ‘You look really HOT this morning!’ Of course he had to quickly add that I always look ‘hot’ (well trained you see), but there was no doubt that my skin had a noticeable glow that doesn’t usually accompany early starts. I love all the products in the NUDE range but the Replenishing Night Oil is legendary!’
Replenishing Night Oil by NUDE Skincare £44 for 15 ml

Please read this carefully: If you would like to participate, then all you need do is choose three of your favourite products just as Claire has done and tell me why you chose them. Please don’t make it too long and send them to me at customercare@victoriahealth.com. If your three products are published on the newsletter, then you will receive a care package from me with love, thanks and hugs. Go!

Oral Health

Gum disease is a chronic bacterial infection of the supporting tissue of the tooth and as the body tries to ward off the infection, inflammation develops and over time this can lead to bone loss around the teeth. This often happens with very few external signs and little or no discomfort until it is quite advanced. If the reversible early stage of gum disease, gingivitis, is allowed to continue into periodontitis, the bacteria and inflammatory cells can leak into the bloodstream and be carried around the body, which really isn’t too smart as it can throw up all kinds of problems.

Peri-Gum Mouth Wash Concentrate is one of the most powerful oral health products I have ever come across and it combines seven herbal extracts: Peppermint Oil, Cayenne, Bloodroot, Echinacea, Bayberry, Tea Tree Oil and White Oak Bark. It helps to improve gum disorders such as bleeding gums, swollen and infected gums as well as helping to prevent mouth ulcers. All you need to is put a few drops in a little water and swish it round your mouth for a minute or so. Such is its efficacy, I would recommend this product to everybody because prevention is a whole lot better than cure, which could mean losing teeth as we get older. Eeeeek!
Peri-Gum Mouth Wash Concentrate £15.40 for 29 ml (it lasts ages and ages!)

News and Feedback

Femergy: Sarah Stacey recently wrote about Femergy in The Mail on Sunday YOU magazine and in case you missed it, this is what she wrote: ‘A reader whose energy levels can be ‘a bit up and down’ due to an underactive thyroid has found a solution: ‘I don’t know how I lived without Femergy. Since starting Femergy, I’m on fire! It took a couple of weeks to kick in, but I’m so glad I stuck with it’. PS Every woman I know who takes it is impressed’. So the bottom line here is that we all take Femergy and Sarah says, when she forgets to take it, she feels completely flat. Moral of the story, remember to take your supplements!
Femergy £10.25 for 60 VegiCaps

Glammunition: Two great big hugs here, one for Elsa McAlonan who wrote about Lulu’s Glammunition on her Beauty Confidential page in the Daily Mail (click here) and another to Kate Shapland who interviewed Lulu for Fashion.Telegraph (click here to read). So here is what you need to know. Glammunition is completely fabulous; it gives you big hair and it gets even better when you use it in conjunction with the Larger than Life Shampoo and Conditioner. At this point I just want to say that I am seriously not into gratuitous celebrity brands, in fact I run right the other way, but Lulu is about the only exception to the rule and that’s because I know the background, I know that she really, really cares and I also know that she has been involved in the creation of her brand right from the very beginning. That aside, she is of course a member of the VH Editorial Team and this month Lu writes about hands.
Lulu’s Operation Glam; VH Editorial Lulu: Hands Up Baby, Hands Up

Skin Restoring Ceramides: Over the past few months, I have been writing about Skin Restoring Ceramides because I truly believe they are completely incredible for all dry skin issues and also for anybody suffering from compromised skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Given that we always say that you must allow at least 28 days for a supplement to kick in properly, we are now starting to get the most incredible feedback about this supplement. One customer wrote that they had transformed the skin on her body, which is amazing. The first and most noticeable difference is that your legs will no longer look parched and as everybody is saying, when they come out of a bath or shower, their legs are gleaming. Add a great moisturiser onto your legs and you really won’t believe your eyes. I take them in conjunction with Hyaluronic Acid (HA) because anything that keeps my face plumped up and keeps my skin away from drying up like an old prune is good with me.
Skin Restoring Ceramides £25 for 30 Liquid Capsules; Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength £35 for 30 Capsules

The Podium

I bet none of you can wait to see what I write as I invite Shabir to step onto The Podium! Poor Shabir, he has had to put up with so much over the years, not least putting up with my antics, but he endures. At this point I will just say that neither of us are into self-promotion (At Home with Gill – can you just imagine, I would want to die!) because essentially it is not about us, but it is about the VH mission, the products and making a difference to each of your lives, but I make an exception here.

I am going to keep this short and sweet and the reason I am putting Shabir on The Podium is because of a comment posted on Shabir’s editorial feature on HA. I read it three times and then decided I would share it with you: ‘superb feature by one of the most well-informed pharmacists of our era. This is not just for women – it’s essential for everyone’.

I know I am incredibly biased, but I just want to say that we are all safe in Shabir’s hands because knowledge and understanding is paramount in this industry. It is because of Shabir that we have won the Harper’s Bazaar award, it is because of Shabir that we have the most pioneering and cutting-edge supplements in the UK and it is because of Shabir that I don’t look 95! Bravo guru pharmacist!

This Works

Before anything, I would just like to say a big, big thank you to the This Works team for supporting us on the most recent ’60 Seconds with Gill’. In case you missed it, we gave away 100 tubes of the iconic Perfect Cleavage, each worth £18.50, so there are 100 very happy people currently rubbing this brilliant cream into their cleavages! If you haven’t tried this, then you really should, but I am now going to tell you about three new products from This Works, with more coming in October!
Perfect Cleavage Firming Lotion £37 for 60 ml

Perfect Heels Rescue Balm: Continuing ‘the perfect’ story, This Works have just released a deeply moisturising foot balm to help prevent and repair cracked heels and dry feet. It provides immediate relief for dry skin, tackles stubborn dryness whilst helping to restore healthy skin. This natural formula is blended with Cotton Thistle (the new buzz ingredient!), Lemon and soothing Lavender to help reconstruct the skin barrier. Just massage into heels and feet as often as required, but we would recommend exfoliating before use for the very best results.
Perfect Heels Rescue Balm by This Works £15 for 75 ml

Daily Boost Body Scrub: Gentle enough to use on a daily basis, the Daily Boost Body Scrub helps boost circulation and the elimination of toxins, while helping to improve water retention and invigorate the skin. The formulation includes Tourmaline to help improve blood flow, with micronized Bamboo to gently polish the skin. Grapefruit and Rosemary are also used to help stimulate and revive skin. Massage onto moist skin and then rinse. Top Tip: I like using the Konjac Body Sponge to massage products into the skin. It has a double whammy effect and that can only be a good thing!
Daily Boost Body Scrub by This Works £18 for 200 ml; Konjac Sponge White Body £12

Really Rich Firming Lotion: This lotion has been specifically blended to treat tired and dull skin and is targeted to help keep skin hydrated all day. It combines a powerful blend of Fig bud extracts, Shea and Star Wort Oil with the soothing oils of Jasmine and Rose. A little goes a long way, it is easily absorbed and it should be massaged all over the body daily.
Really Rich Firming Lotion by This Works £25 for 200 ml

Testing for VH

Earlier in this newsletter, you will have read that I had yet another dramatic moment where I was rushed to A&E with a severe allergic reaction to a product I was testing. I promise you it was not cute, but thankfully they knocked me out and I slept right the way through it with an oxygen mask on my face and a drip pumping anti-histamine into me. Given that I am allergic to all essential oils and I obviously have incredibly sensitive skin, there is a limit to the products that I can test personally. I have never, ever listed a brand onto our site just for the sheer hell of it or because it is being hyped out of proportion everywhere else. I actually don’t care about that and would rather support a niche brand that does what is says on the bottle.

So, I feel a bit Beauty Bible’ish, but I need people to test products for me every now and again because it’s your opinion that really matters and I need to stay away from A&E. Whenever this happens I will either make a request on the newsletter, or post something on our Facebook wall. Nine times out of ten, I will probably post on Facebook because it is more immediate, so if you want to help me test products, please make sure you follow us on Facebook.

The End Bit

Acqua D’Alfresco Anti-Bug Bite Spray: I wrote all about this on the August newsletter, so if you missed what I said about it, then just click here. Anti-bug sprays are not really something that you would want to write reams about, but Acqua D’Alfresco is the exception to the rule because it smells completely divine, it absolutely works and if there were awards for anti-bug sprays, this would win the award. It is also so very chic, which is why I love it so much and it would seem that you do too.
Acqua D’Alfresco Anti-Bug Bite Spray £30 for 4 x 7.5 ml

Sage Complex: No menopausal rages allowed, no mood swings and no hot flushes either. I don’t often write about Sage Complex, but I should because this is the supplement that helps wipe the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, but it also happens to be rather brilliant for PMS too. I’m on it. Heaven knows what I’d be like without it!
Sage Complex by Food Science of Vermont £23.95 for 90 Capsules

Bijou Aromatherapy Bath & Shower Oils: This gorgeous box landed on my desk with a note saying that they would make the perfect Christmas gift. Christmas, not yet please, but who needs to wait because I think these make a perfect gift at any time of the year, or you can gift yourself. The box contains seven little bottles of expertly blended aromatherapy oils to cover your every need and you can use them in the bath or shower, or in an emergency try dabbing one drop on pulse points for an instant effect. A rainbow of colour and possibilities, including balance, calm, detox, indulge, recover, refresh and relax. Clever Balm Balm!
Bijou Aromatherapy Bath & Shower Oils by Balm Balm £24.99 for 7 x 5 ml bottles

Facial Scrub: Don’t be amazed, but there is one product from NUDE Skincare that I haven’t written about and it’s their Facial Scrub. It was out of stock for quite a long time, but now it’s back, it came home with me (of course) and I really love it. It is very gentle and it helps polish away dryness and impurities with ultra fine beads of exfoliating rose quartz crystals. It also contains Juazeiro extract and Rose Water to soothe the skin. All you need do is massage a very small amount of Facial Scrub onto a wet face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Remove with warm water, use twice weekly and be prepared to fall in love. Follow with Miracle Mask and your skin will look and feel pretty sensational.
Facial Scrub by NUDE Skincare £28 for 75 ml; Miracle Mask £38 for 40 ml

Real Techniques Make-Up Brushes by Samantha Chapman: This entire range is just flying out the door, so if you missed the launch on the August newsletter then click here to read all about these amazing brushes and then when you have the time, watch Sam use the brushes on the video section. An education in how to apply make-up!
Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman

As we come to the end of another newsletter, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued loyalty and support. Together with Shabir, the VH team and the VH Editorial team, I hope you have a fabulous September and just a reminder from me to look out for ‘120 Seconds with Gill’.

With love

Gill x
